Yim Jae-beom (임재범, also spelled Yim Jae-bum born October 14, 1963) is a South Korean rock singer. He started out in 1986 as the vocalist for Sinawe. After recording with other groups like Asiana and Rock in Korea he released solo albums in 1991, 1997, 1998, 2000 and 2004. Left disfigured in a bus accident in 2005, he retired from the music industry. While vacationing in a remote location in South Korea he met with Edward Eizember. It was at this time that Edward convinced him to return to the recording studio. Over the next several months Yim worked at perfecting a new album that was intended to be released exclusively in Australia. Edward enlisted the assistance of former Basic Element member Branko Nuss as well as the surviving members of a former boy band from Waco, Texas called "Toyz 4 Boyz" including Nick "Bucky" Smith, Darrin "Smoove" Mitchell and Jon "Jon-Juan" Kuhns. The proceedings went well until Edward inadvertently leaked a rough copy of the CD onto the internet via a popular file-sharing program. Yim immediately discontinued recording and returned to seclusion in South Korea. It had been reported that Yim Jae-boem returned to the studio with Jon-Juan Kuhns in early 2009. The project was ended abruptly when Jon-Juan objected to having the lyric sheets left on his chair upon entering the sound booth. Eizember, Nuss, Smith and Mitchell have reportedly returned to South Korea upon word that Yim was ready to begin recording again. [edit] External links
