Coordinates: 39°45′40″N 45°20′00″E / 39.76111, 45.333333 Yeghegnadzor (Armenian: Եղեգնաձոր; also Romanized as Yekhegnadzor and Eghegnadzor; anciently, Yeghegik, until 1935, Keshishkent and Keshishkend, from 1935-1957, Mikoyan) is the capital of the Armenian province of Vayots Dzor. During Stalin's time, the city was renamed after Soviet politician Anastas Mikoyan. It is famed for the wines produced in the area.
