Woodburn High School (WHS) is a four year public high school in Woodburn, Oregon, United States.

Academy of International Studies

Via funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the WHS campus is divided into four smaller schools:

  • Academy of International Studies (AIS)
  • Woodburn Academy of Arts, Science, and Technology (WAAST)
  • Woodburn Arts and Communications Academy (WACA)
  • Wellness, Business, and Sports School (WeBSS)

All schools on the WHS campus offer International Baccalaureate courses, and WHS students can earn a full IB diploma. It has been an IB World School since July 2001.[3]

In 2008, 57% of the Academy of International Studies seniors received their high school diploma. Of 68 students, 39 graduated, 8 dropped out, and 21 are still in high school.[4][5]

84% of the Wellness, Business, and Sports seniors received their high school diploma. Of 55 students, 46 graduated, 2 dropped out, and 7 are still in high school.[4][5]

83% of the Academy of Arts, Science, and Technology seniors received their high school diploma. Of 53 students, 44 graduated, 3 dropped out, 2 received a modified diploma, and 4 are still in high school.[4][5]

In 2008, 83% of the Arts and Communications Academy seniors received their high school diploma. Of 52 students, 43 graduated, 3 dropped out, 1 received a modified diploma, and 5 are still in high school.[4][5]

WHS's boys soccer team has made the playoffs 23 years in a row, a state record for the longest stretch of playoff appearances.[citation needed]

WHS has six state championships; five in wrestling and one in baseball.[citation needed]
