Apart from the "Scandals and controversies", there's nothing much in it, it's a stub at best. And without a history of the project, you can't really understand that section. --JensMueller (talk) 20:43, 6 January 2009 (UTC) [edit] Coordinators' working groupHi! I'd like to draw your attention to the new WikiProject coordinators' working group, an effort to bring both official and unofficial WikiProject coordinators together so that the projects can more easily develop consensus and collaborate. This group has been created after discussion regarding possible changes to the A-Class review system, and that may be one of the first things discussed by interested coordinators. All designated project coordinators are invited to join this working group. If your project hasn't formally designated any editors as coordinators, but you are someone who regularly deals with coordination tasks in the project, please feel free to join as well. — Delievered by §hepBot (Disable) on behalf of the WikiProject coordinators' working group at 06:42, 28 February 2009 (UTC) [edit] {{Chinese script}} & {{needhanzi}}There is a discussion on whether to merge these two templates together. See Template talk:Chinese script. — 76.66.193.90 (talk) 06:10, 1 March 2009 (UTC) [edit] Article alertsThis is a notice to let you know about Article alerts, a fully-automated subscription-based news delivery system designed to notify WikiProjects and Taskforces when articles are entering Articles for deletion, Requests for comment, Peer review and other workflows (full list). The reports are updated on a daily basis, and provide brief summaries of what happened, with relevant links to discussion or results when possible. A certain degree of customization is available; WikiProjects and Taskforces can choose which workflows to include, have individual reports generated for each workflow, have deletion discussion transcluded on the reports, and so on. An example of a customized report can be found here. If you are already subscribed to Article Alerts, it is now easier to report bugs and request new features. We are also in the process of implementing a "news system", which would let projects know about ongoing discussions on a wikipedia-wide level, and other things of interest. The developers also note that some subscribing WikiProjects and Taskforces use the Message sent by User:Addbot to all active wiki projects per request, Comments on the message and bot are welcome here. Thanks. — Headbomb {ταλκκοντριβς – WP Physics} 09:44, 15 March, 2009 (UTC) [edit] US-PROC renamePeople's Republic of China – United States relations → Sino-American relations has been nominated at WP:RM. 76.66.193.69 (talk) 01:37, 23 March 2009 (UTC) [edit] Guo Wu Ji Yao FeiGuo Wu Ji Yao Fei has been prodded for deletion. 70.29.213.241 (talk) 08:47, 11 April 2009 (UTC) [edit] ancient sourcesThere's a notice at WT:CHINA about the usage of ancient Chinese sources. I have created a template to use as an invitation for people who might like to join this WikiProject. To use it, type {{subst:WPTAIWAN-invite}} on the talk page of someone you think might interested in joining. It will produce the following invitation:
Taffy (talk) 10:01, 2 May 2009 (UTC) [edit] FPC candidateHello everyone, just want to inform that there is currently a nomination of the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall on FPC, maybe you want to take part in the voting. --AngMoKio (talk) 10:11, 2 May 2009 (UTC) [edit] 2009 swine flu in China/HK/TaiwanThere is a discussion at Template talk:2009 swine flu outbreak table about the appropriateness of listing mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan separately, instead of being One China. 76.66.202.139 (talk) 04:14, 19 May 2009 (UTC) [edit] Proposal for a 200-WikiProject contestA proposal has been posted for a contest between all 200 country WikiProjects. He was a national of the Republic of China and had never been living under the rule of the Chinese communist. Montemonte (talk) 01:39, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Taiwan Province, People's Republic of ChinaTaiwan Province, People's Republic of China has been nominated for deletion. 70.29.212.226 (talk) 06:08, 16 June 2009 (UTC) [edit] Proposed merger of PRC into ChinaA user has proposed the merger of People's Republic of China into China. --Cybercobra (talk) 13:33, 15 August 2009 (UTC) [edit] WikiProject Taiwan BarnstarThe previous discussion foundered on country/not country and Taiwan/ROC distinctions. So instead I've set up a template for a Wikiproject Taiwan Barnstar, particular to the WikiProject, not to the country. If a consensus can be reached on a Barnstar of National Merit, then great, but until then we can use this one to recognise contributions to the project (sample shown):
The template is available at Wikipedia:WikiProject Taiwan/Barnstar. The ribbon avoids using the ROC flag and combines both blue and green, to hopefully avoid controversy. Comments welcome here! Taiwantaffy (talk) 12:38, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
[edit] East Asian calligraphyHello, there is a contest against totally undiscussed cut-and-paste blanking/merging/splitting of East Asian calligraphy by Asoer (talk · contribs). I don't see any active discussion on the edit, so there is naturally no consensus for that. Since it is pertinent to at least "four WikiProject", I'm drawing your attention to the article and hope you would give some useful input on the matter on Talk:East Asian calligraphy. Any active members who are interests in East Asian culture/art would be greatly helpful for the issue. Thanks.--Caspian blue 03:23, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

I cannot find that page, Chinese Wiki. I remember seeing it in the past. Thanks Marasama (talk) 06:17, 4 October 2009 (UTC) [edit] Please wikify 西堤牛排Another editor has created the article 西堤牛排 in the English Wikipedia about a restaurant chain in Taiwan. It would be helpful if someone could wikify the article. You may also want to look at zh:西堤牛排 and make any improvements to that article that seem appropriate. -- Eastmain (talk) 14:36, 26 October 2009 (UTC) [edit] ShuāngbāotāiDoes anyone know anything about this subject? Is it some kind of doughnut? We would like to cover it as part of Wikipedia's Doughnut Drive 2009 event. ChildofMidnight (talk) 23:56, 18 November 2009 (UTC) [edit] Project bannersWould there be any obejections to merging {{WikiProject Taiwanese aborigines}} and {{WikiProject Taiwanese politics}} into the banner for this project? WP:TWABOR and WP:TWPOL don't appear to be particuarly active, and all articles tagged for those projects should comfortably fall within the scope of WikiProject Taiwan. This would also remove the need for multiple banners on pages such as Talk:Wushe Incident and Talk:Four Ifs. I've already made the required changes at {{WikiProject Taiwan/sandbox}}.
