[edit] Portuguese TimorUser Merbabu is trying to erase the infobox included on the article Portuguese Timor. This kind of infobox exists in many other articles in Wikipedia. He is just trying to impose his own view in the article. Is there some action that can be done against it? Emerson [edit] Article alertsThis is a notice to let you know about Article alerts, a fully-automated subscription-based news delivery system designed to notify WikiProjects and Taskforces when articles are entering Articles for deletion, Requests for comment, Peer review and other workflows (full list). The reports are updated on a daily basis, and provide brief summaries of what happened, with relevant links to discussion or results when possible. A certain degree of customization is available; WikiProjects and Taskforces can choose which workflows to include, have individual reports generated for each workflow, have deletion discussion transcluded on the reports, and so on. An example of a customized report can be found here. If you are already subscribed to Article Alerts, it is now easier to report bugs and request new features. We are also in the process of implementing a "news system", which would let projects know about ongoing discussions on a wikipedia-wide level, and other things of interest. The developers also note that some subscribing WikiProjects and Taskforces use the Message sent by User:Addbot to all active wiki projects per request, Comments on the message and bot are welcome here. I am interested in theatre history, and I hope some one can answer my question. I wonder: which was the first theatre, with proffesional actors of both genders, in Portugal? I am also interested in the first known actor and actress, or the most famous actor and actress, of that theatre's early years. I have heard that the acting proffesion was barred for women in Portugal in the 18th-century. If so, when was it lifted? I hope someone can answer my question. I would be gratefull if You could answer on my talk page. Since she never had brazilian citizenship and was in fact portuguese i belive that expression is wrong. Besides this issue i think that using portuguese-born expression tries to diminish the connection of her nationality to Portugal. Since she is only portuguese she should be refered as portuguese and not brazilian. Note that this is a reference to her nationality/citizenship and does not put at stake her importance to the brazilian music culture. since an artist may be from one nationality and be of great importance also to other country. One thing doesn't erase the other. 81.84.168.59 (talk) 03:37, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
[edit] English translation of Nelly Furtado's biography in wikipediastates she is Canadian ... The editor refuses to state she is portuguese-canadian and sticks to call her simple canadian.
[edit] Colonial ActThe entry on the 1930 Colonial Act uses emotive language that is not really suitable for use in an encyclopaedia. As such, it is highly subjective and could be dismissed as being biased. Lusobrandane (talk) 13:53, 25 November 2009 (UTC) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
