I live in Philly, I go to Drexel, and I take images of things. My camera does a decent job, and I have access to some nice photomanipulation software to make sure things come out looking good. I don't have a heck of a lot of free time, but enough that I might be able to help out. Let me know if this sounds good to anyone. I agree with the proposal for the SEPTA station boxes. I am a former Philadelphia resident, and I have excesive knowledge of the SEPTA system. As long as the destinations (e.g. "To: Glenside) are retained, I'm fine with this. --Miketherailfan 04:38, 8 November 2005 (EST)

I have conducted a reassessment of the above article as part of the GA Sweeps process. I have found some concerns with the article which you can see at Talk:Northeast Philadelphia/GA1. I have conducted a reassessment of the above article as part of the GA Sweeps process after the original re-assessor had to drop out. I have found some concerns with the referencing which you can see at Talk:Northeast Philadelphia/GA1. I have placed the article on hold for a further seven days whilst these are fixed. Thanks. [edit] Pennsylvania Intergovernmental Cooperation Authority (PICA)

An article on Pennsylvania Intergovernmental Cooperation Authority (PICA) is really needed, since PICA has to approve any city budget for Philadelphia, and right now the situation is critical. --DThomsen8 (talk) 01:46, 14 September 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia Takes Philadelphia Sun Oct 4!

Wikipedia Takes Philadelphia is a photo scavenger hunt and free content photography contest to be held all around Philadelphia aimed at illustrating Wikipedia articles.

Scheduled for Sunday, October 4, 2009, the check-in location will be at the Drexel University quad (between Chestnut and Market, 33rd and 32nd) at noon, and the ending party and photo uploading (location to be announced) will be at 6 PM. To reach the Drexel quad, walk south from Market Street at 32nd Street into the campus.

[edit] New Pennsylvania government stubs

On Wikipedia:Village pump (miscellaneous)#Municipal authorities/special district governments there is a proposal to add a great many (1,700, more or less) new Pennsylvania government stubs with a bot. I suspect that the volume would be overwhelming. Please check it out.--DThomsen8 (talk) 17:24, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

A decision was reached to create lists of municipal authorities in each county, rather than a flood of stub articles. To see the various county lists, see Category:Municipal authorities in Pennsylvania and to see the Philadelphia list, see List of municipal authorities in Philadelphia. Anyone interested in Philadelphia government should look at the list and create articles for red links, especially for those agencies with an official web site, which makes starting the article easier. Please do not do any copyright violations by copying information directly, and try to find other reliable sources beyond the official web site of the agency.
