About this project

Welcome. This WikiProject is a group of editors working together on articles about sexology and human sexuality. We want these to be at the level of the best articles on Wikipedia. Articles must be factual, from a neutral point of view and not censored. Please join us.

We also try to reduce edit wars, reverts, redirects, and AfDs. Proposals can be posted below, with proposals followed by votes for and against.

How You Can Help

Locate pages that need attention, then add them to the tasks list or the the Open Tasks list.
Add the Open Tasks box to your User: or User_talk: page. (Add {{SexologyTasks}} anywhere on the page.)
Add this page or the Open Tasks list to your watchlist, and work on projects listed.
Complete open tasks and remove them from the list.

Sexology Tasks

Here are some open WikiProject Sexology and Sexuality tasks:

Current Discussion:
- An editor on the semen article is looking for opinions about an image that he wants to delete. (See Here).
- Video in the ejaculation article. There is currently a survey discussing this topic if you care to offer your opinion.
- Peer review -- Attraction to disability

Major work needed:
- Human animal roleplay (was pup-play) needs help with reliable citations.
- Sexual Revolution article needs reorganizing, editing for consistency, and general cleanup.
- Pornography. Article is a featured article candidate. See What is a featured article for criteria to fine tune; No big changes.
- Human sexual behavior is tagged with "original research". Need to track down sources and citations for the facts and opinions stated. This may involve a partial rewrite of the article.
- Paraphilia: Respond to request that definition is incorrect, or conflicting within the article. Source the statements in the article and/or rewrite to provide citations.
- History of sex. (See Talk:History of sexuality/to do.)
- polygyny needs considerable cleanup work after a series of ip copyedits, especially citations.
- polyamory, polygyny, polygamy and polyandry should have more common points rather than differing histories.
- Polysexuality requires cleanup, restructuring, or even rewriting. Merging this article with other articles should also be considered.
- Erogenous zones Include information on biochemistry, references in literature and popular culture etc.
- Sex sneezing syndrome New article that needs major expansion and possibly expert knowledge.

Minor work needed:
- Strap-on dildo needs history references.

Fix up the programming errors in the templates
Fix up the assessment page
Link article that has something to do with sex to the wikiproject by adding {{WP Sexuality}} in the talk pages of those articles.
Expand the (new) article on sexual repression and tie it into other articles.

Top and bottom in sex and BDSM needs work. See the talk page for a TODO list. It's a merger of 9 earlier pages; I've done a fair amount to make it work well, but the BDSM part will need significant editing to be smooth.
