The current Collaboration of the fortnight is Rugby union. This page is for discussion on what the Portal:Rugby Union Collaboration of the Fortnight should be. Anyone is free to contribute, but please don't nominate or support an option unless you are willing to help it improve if it is elected as the fortnight's collaboration. Only positive support votes will be counted, except in the case of a tie. Please also only vote for a collaboration if you are willing to take part.
[edit] PurposeThe ultimate purpose of the collaboration is to improve a rugby union-related article to featured article status. Preferably the articles should either be a key rugby topic (eg pages on the domestic competitions, World Cup winning teams, significant biographies) or alternatively close enough to featured article status already such that a collaboration is likely to bring it up to FA quality. [edit] Selection criteriaA nomination can be selected once it has received four support votes. However it can only be made the collaboration once the current collaboration has been active for two weeks. If these criteria have been met then the following should be carried out:
[edit] Current collaborationMain article: Rugby union Rugby union (short for rugby union football and often referred to as simply rugby, to a lesser extent football, or union in countries familiar with rugby union and rugby league), is an outdoor sport played by teams of 15 players with an oval ball. It is one of the two main codes of rugby football, the other being rugby league. There is also a quicker seven-a-side variation called rugby sevens, which exists in both codes. Collaboration started 28 December 2007. [edit] NominationsOnce you have nominated an article please add it to the list of nominations on the {{WPRU Announcements}} template.
