   Showcase

The following is a listing of articles (and other types of content) within the scope of the project that have been noted for their outstanding quality. Project members are encouraged to peruse these at their leisure, as they serve as excellent examples of different writing and organizational styles that one may wish to emulate.

Please note that the project does not necessarily claim authorship or credit for creating these. While many were written by members—sometimes with extensive input from the project as a whole—others were created by uninvolved editors, or predate the existence of the project itself, and are listed here merely because they fall within our scope.

Good articles are articles which are considered to be of good quality but which are not yet, or are unlikely to reach, featured article quality. Good articles meet the good article criteria and have passed through the good article nomination process successfully.

The Star of Sophia is a special award, and unlike Barnstars, is granted through nomination and acclamation by the participants of this project. You may nominate, or vote upon the nomination of other participants of this project whom you feel have contributed in an extraordinary way to the improvement of Wikipedia's philosophy "department."

In special recognition by their fellow participants, for exemplary contributions to the presentation of philosophy on Wikipedia which go above and beyond all expectations, the following extraordinary Wikipedians have been presented the Philosophy WikiProject's highest award, the Star of Sophia:

  • Charles Stewart - for general and widespread contributions to philosophy on Wikipedia. 06:41, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
  • Kenosis - for the major overhaul of several important philosophy articles. 06:41, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
  • Gregbard - for work on Wikiproject Logic.
  • Anarchia - for her outstanding diligence in systematizing philosophy articles through categories and ratings.
  • Dbuckner - for doing the hard part of wikiphilosophy, writing from scratch.
  • Mel Etitis - For whatever he's done such that we see his name everywhere.
  • Infinity0 - for championing and maintaining the Template:Philosophy topics
  • Banno - for taking on the impossible task of trying to administer a Web encyclopedia which is defined by almost-complete-disorder, constant quarreling, edit wars, and other irresponsible madness.
  • Lacatosias - for greatly improving the philosophy of mind articles and his tireless efforts to improve the quality of Philosophy on Wikipedia. [1]
  • Sethmahoney - for championing the idea of a graphics category for philosophy.
