Wikipedia:WikiProject Museums:
Welcome to the Museums WikiProject! A chunk of this text has been stolen borrowed under GFDL ;) from other Wiki Projects under the idea that they're a lot more familiar with the process than I am, which isn't hard!
- Goals
- Improve Wikipedia's coverage of museums.
- Improve quality of existing articles
- Expand smaller museums in non-English dominant countries where articles are little more than a sentence.
- Create guidelines for articles about museums.
- Scope
- The project covers all articles about museums in a wide range of disciplines and locations throughout the world. By member consensus, it does not include aquaria, herbaria, zoos and other non-museum 'collections' because these are well-covered in other projects.

Fails WP:ORG. no real evidence of notability. Google news search indicates hardly any third party coverage. Michellecrisp (talk) 02:59, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

- Delete. No multiple, independent reliable sources to establish notability. WWGB (talk) 11:52, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
- Keep or userfy to me and I'll clean up when I have time there are some book mentions and enough about its exhibits form which to write a sourced article. It needs to be cleaned up but I'm busy with work and about to head off on holidays. I won't be here when this closes so if it closes as delete, I ask the closer to please userfy to me and leave me a note and I'll work on it un userspace. StarM 03:28, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
- Keep - satisfies guidelines outlined at ORG. Reliables sources give references to major exhibitions by notable artists, it is listed on international directories to important galleries, and has a nationally recognised profile as the region's Arts centre. Notability is easily established by the sites linked by google, the engines 'results' of "hardly any" is an erroneous and insufficient basis for an AfD. cygnis insignis 08:59, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Categories
-
BCBot is in the process of tagging all the articles in the master category list with the project template. If you're aware of newly added categories, or a category that you feel was missed, please add it here rather than to that master list so we can organize a mass-tagging if needed. I have not yet asked a bot to 'watch' any categories and add newly created articles to the project, but I know there are some that do that.
[edit] Articles to Create
Depending on how you look at it, we're (un)lucky to have a significant body of articles that need creating. Looking at the predominantly redlinks here:
