The majority of the research regarding Dyslexia and different orthographies has to date has related to languages in the Latin alphabet system. This extensive body of research can not be transfered to all writing systems. In regions of the world the latin alphabet writing system is used by the dominant culture are the native writing systems fully investigated and understood, as part of the overall evolution of writing system. Could the latin alphabetic system loose it dominnce due to enconomic political power shifts in the future. What are the possible implications?
