Every month, a History of Science Collaboration of the Month will be selected using this page. The article may or may not yet exist. The topics can be related to the history of science, history of medicine, history of technology, or the history of philosophy of science; non-biographical articles are preferred, but biographies can be nominated as well. This collaboration is part of the History of Science WikiProject.
The project aims to fill gaps in Wikipedia, to give users a focus and to give us all something to be proud of. It also provides an opportunity to recruit professional scholars to participate in Wikipedia. Any registered user can nominate and vote on articles (see Voting below). This collaboration uses approval voting. You do not have to be involved in the field of history of science or a related field to participate; the opinion of laypeople is valued both for article suggestions and to help ensure that articles are not too technical. New articles will be selected at the beginning of each month (see the record of previous collaborations). For individuals wishing to notify others of articles being created or for which they are seeking collaborators, or to ask for completed pages to be peer-reviewed, please see Wikipedia:WikiProject History of Science and the WikiProject discussion page.

Comments . [edit] History of chemistry
This is one of the older articles in the collection and needs to be brought up to the standard set by more recently developed articles such as History of biology. Support Comments [edit] Robert Hooke
Right. Robert Hooke (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs) is a reasonable article, but I think we should make it an FA. I have in my possession Margaret 'Espinasse's copy of the five volumes of Gunther's Early Science at Oxford covering Hooke, I also have two other books on Hooke. I have never been involved in an FA, but I would love to work on a collaboration on this article. What say? Support Comments [edit] On the Origin of Species
This article could potentially be the centerpiece of a history of biology-themed Main Page for November 24, 2009. 2009 is the 150 year anniversity of Origin and the 200 year anniversary of Darwin's birth, so if this article could be brought to Featured status in time, it would make for a high-profile chance to show off this and possibly other history of science content.--ragesoss (talk) 20:28, 17 November 2008 (UTC) Support
Comments Ok, it made FA so it is time to get serious about picking another one. Rusty Cashman (talk) 10:29, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
