The Living people workgroup is a group of members of the Biography WikiProject dedicated to ensuring biographical articles of living people strictly adhere to our policy on biographies of living persons (BLPs). The tasks of this working group include categorizing articles, maintenance tagging, checking for and removing unsourced contentious claims, and initiating and participating in deletion discussions for BLPs. This page centralizes all tasks relating to BLPs.
Since biographies are potentially under the purview of almost all WikiProjects, it is important that we work in tandem with these projects. Also, when seeking collaboration on articles, don't neglect to approach WikiProjects that are part of the geographical region your subject is/was in.

Articles than may be in need of categorizing and instructions for doing so can be found at Wikipedia:Uncategorized biographies of living people.
All biographies of living persons should be categorized in Category:Living people or Category:Possibly living people, and should be marked by adding living=yes to the {{WPBiography}} project banner at the top of its talk page. This will automatically place it into Category:Biography articles of living people.

A listing of articles potentially containing negative, unsourced claims can be found at Wikipedia:Alleviate negative unsourced statements. According to the BLP policy, BLPs should contain no negative, unsourced claims. Any contentious material that is not supported by reliable sources should be immediately removed per BLP policy.
