Below are instructions for improving film articles from one class to another. Every element does not have to be met if other areas of the article are more developed.

[edit] Stub to Start-Class upgrading instructions

To contribute in upgrading this stub article to Start class, the following requirements must be met:

• Significant intro (list the title, alternate titles, year released, director, actors starring in the film, summary of headings, etc.)
• An appropriate infobox ({{Infobox Aircraft Type}}, {{Infobox Airline}}, etc.)
• Picture: Consult WikiProject Free Images for freely relevant free images. Non-free and unlicensed images are to be avoided if at all possible, but if used should include a detailed fair use rationale. (An image is not required for start class if unavailable.)
• History
• At least two other developed sections of information (x, y, etc.)
• Categories (by year, country, etc.)

Once this article has fulfilled these requirements, the article can be reassessed to Start class.

[edit] Start to B-Class upgrading instructions

To contribute in upgrading this Start-class article, the following requirements must be met:

• It should already have a developed intro, infobox, image(s), and adequate categorization.
• Statements that may be questioned by a reader over their verifiability must be referenced with an inline citation, preferably using citation templates. Cite any quotes, box office figures, movie reviews, production notes, and any questionable statements.
• The article should be free of major grammatical errors. Follow the guidelines of the Manual of Style. Consider having the article reviewed by another WP:AVIATION member and/or the League of Copyeditors.
• The article should be broad in coverage, and should have multiple sections of information. Remember to cite information within these sections.

Once this article has fulfilled these requirements, the film can be nominated for reassessment to B-class and it will be updated if it qualifies.

[edit] B to GA-Class upgrading instructions

To contribute in upgrading this B-class article, the following requirements must be met:

• It should already meet all of the 5 B-class criteria:

1. Referencing and citation: It is suitably referenced, and all major points are appropriately cited.

2. Coverage and accuracy: It reasonably covers the topic, and does not contain major omissions or inaccuracies.

3. Structure: It has a defined structure, including a lead section and one or more sections of content.

4. Grammar: It is free from major grammatical errors.

5. Supporting materials: It contains appropriate supporting materials, such as an infobox, images, or diagrams.

• If the criteria are met then consider nominating it for an assessment.
• Consider having another editor or two give the article a copyedit. Look to other current Good Articles for examples in improving the article.
• Read the guide for nominating good articles before nominating.
• Nominate the article at Good Article nominations and address any issues that are raised by the reviewer.

If the article passes, the reviewer will update the class to GA. If the article does not pass, address any unresolved issues and consider asking another editor to take a look at the article.
