[edit] Requests for collaboration or help Here is where Wikipedians can seek help regarding articles or other copy editing issues. Feel free to remove entries from this list once the issue is resolved. Please put new requests at the bottom It's a pretty important article to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise, and I would like to see it become a Featured list one day. A thorough copyedit would do the article some good.--EclipseSSD (talk) 21:51, 23 January 2009 (UTC) - Ok. Working on it now; it definitely has good information, but the style is certainly lacking in some areas. Let me see what I can do. Webmaster961 (talk) 15:29, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
This article I've contributed to underwent an unsuccessful GA review several months ago and prose was one of the reasons (I'm not a native speaker of English, although I consider myself a good one). Due to some new improvements by other users, I've decided to go for GA again and I'd like to fix teh spelign & gramer eror's. Admiral Norton (talk) 23:13, 1 February 2009 (UTC) This article has passed GA, and will be put up as a FAC soon. An experienced copy editor is needed to further enhance the language and style. Skadinaujo (T•C) 20:22, 8 February 2009 (UTC) Attempting to clean up the article and bring to GA, possibly FA status at later dates. EclipseSSD (talk) 21:42, 25 February 2009 (UTC) - I just edited this. I didn't edit much that would prevent it from being upgraded to an A-class status. I mostly cut down on unnecessary words. Fdssdf (talk) 01:31, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
Current FA. The article was copyedited during its GA review, but FA reviewers have noticed that further issues remain. (Ibaranoff24 (talk) 15:58, 26 February 2009 (UTC)) Attampting to pass A-Class review, but since English is not my first language, I need help on copy editing. Jim101 (talk) 03:54, 27 February 2009 (UTC) - I've copy-edited the "Background" section. The "Battle" and "Aftermath" sections remain to be done, and the lede could stand a look. It's a good article. — ℜob C. alias ᴀʟᴀʀoʙ 19:05, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
I need help with prose/flow etc; I've tried for FA, the facts are just about up to the mark, but there's too many choppy short sentences. I'm struggling to get that final polish on the article. -- Chzz ► 10:12, 6 March 2009 (UTC) -
- okay, I went through and had a look. It's still very choppy, but to get over that FA-bump, I think it needs some organizational work. You've got all the stuff there, it' has a sort of chopped together feel. How far do you want me to take this, and how do you want to handle it? --Auntieruth55 (talk) 21:02, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
"Atlantic blue marlin" is currently a GA candidate. I have concerns about the plural form of the word "marlin" and how it is used in the article. My understanding is that both "marlins" and "marlin" are acceptable as the plural. I would appreciate your WikiProject's review of this use in the article. Thanks. Axl ¤ [Talk] 16:25, 29 March 2009 (UTC) I put this article through FAC, but it was closed after 4 days with several editors not returning to comment. I had recently done a full article copy edit, but one editor believes "there are too many problems still", but he's vague and doesn't want to provide examples. I would really love some third-party assistance to come in and see everything I've supposedly missed. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 12:27, 4 April 2009 (UTC) The aricle failed a previous FAC largely due to complaints about the copyediting.[1] Help would be appreciated. Will Beback talk 22:29, 6 April 2009 (UTC) I don't see any WikiProject covering this article, or I'd ask them to spiff it up. Can WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors do anything with it? Thanks. Later (second request): I posted this request here 07:08, 11 April 2009. User:Skomorokh deleted it 09:59, 11 April 2009 with the note "Falko Traber addressed". IMHO article has not been adequately addressed and still needs copyediting. Please don't delete this post until article has been copyedited. Thanks. -- 201.37.230.43 (talk) 17:49, 11 April 2009 (UTC) - As a separate party, may I ask why you feel this? Judging by the edits, Skomorokh has done all that can be done to the limited prose in the article. Skomorokh is doing this in his own time, and it's generally considered polite to state what issues you have rather than state you're just unhappy with his work. Perhaps you expect him to provide sources for you? Rehevkor ✉ 01:54, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
Article just recently passed a GA review, now I'm preparing the article to be a Featured class article. GA reviewer suggested that I get the article peer reviewed before attempting that. If anyone could review the article that would be greatly appreciated. Zombie Hunter Smurf (talk) 15:41, 13 April 2009 (UTC) Going through its A-review, one reviewer requested a copy edit, specifically for the Other Countries section. It needs another set of eyes, let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! Kirk (talk) 16:01, 17 April 2009 (UTC) - I've had a pop at this. Let me know if you think it needs more. Gonzonoir (talk) 13:18, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
I re-wrote the article based on the Finnish version (FA), but the level of English is probably lacking. Could someone look it through? Thank you for your help. Mvaldemar (talk) 18:45, 20 April 2009 (UTC) The article is currently undergoing a Peer review, and some further work will be done before it's taken off to FA. Editors have suggested copyediting. Thanks, EclipseSSD (talk) 14:54, 23 April 2009 (UTC) - Peer review has closed. Some copyediting would really be appreciated, as I'm thinking of taking it to FAC soon. --TaerkastUA (talk) 13:20, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
Hi, I was told this article needs alot of copy editing, and would appreciate some help. Thanks. DragonZero (talk) 19:18, 1 May 2009 (UTC) Hi! I would like to make this a Featured Article. I was told it needs some copyediting. Would anyone mind checking it out? Thanks WhisperToMe (talk) 20:42, 2 May 2009 (UTC) This article needs serious help, as it is almost completely devoid of wikification. Sources are missing, and for a while it did not even have a complete opening sentence. Thanks to anyone with the patience to do this. -moritheilTalk 01:23, 4 May 2009 (UTC) I'd like to try to have this page to FAC by the end of the month. Content-wise, I believe it is ready, but the language is rather simplistic and repetitive at times, so it definitely needs a copyedit. Thanks a lot, Scorpion0422 18:52, 4 May 2009 (UTC) Currently on GA nom, and I'm planning an eventual FA after a Peer Review sometime in the future. I'm a crappy writer, I admit it, and it needs a good copyeditor's attention. ResMar 23:12, 7 May 2009 (UTC) Currently a GA, though I would like to bring it to FA someday. One of the comments in the GA review was that the prose could do with some improvement. A fresh set of eyes in this would be very helpful in the push to FA. MelicansMatkin (talk) 23:12, 21 May 2009 (UTC) Following up on a really old request that I removed after the former, rather Byzantine, request system was discontinued. Anyway, I would copyedit this myself, but I found myself in conflict with a COI editor and would prefer a neutral third party do the copyediting. It's possible that quite a few wikilinks could be added as well. See the article's talk page for more discussion. Thanks! Katr67 (talk) 16:36, 29 May 2009 (UTC) Huge article with lots of information, would like it to go on GA sometime. Can you guys help look over it? thanks.Teeninvestor (talk) 23:21, 1 June 2009 (UTC) This almost made FAL but was held back because of bad grammar, inconsistency, etc. Needs a good copyedit to whip it into shape! The policy is going to be presented to the community soon enough, but I am a hopeless prose-writer. Would someone be able to copyedit it to a good standard? Nothing particular needed (that I can see), just a general all-round affair. Much appreciated. ~fl 01:11, 7 June 2009 (UTC) Bart Sells His Soul - This article is currently undergoing a GA review, at Talk:Bart Sells His Soul/GA1. Additional help with copyediting would be much appreciated. Thank you, Cirt (talk) 21:18, 7 June 2009 (UTC) I want to nominate this article to be an FA but some changes were made during the peer review so I wanted to make sure the article was still well written. Thanks! --Peppagetlk 00:59, 11 June 2009 (UTC) There are some stylistic issues, and the article could use a general copyedit to be more generally compliant with the Wikipedia Manual of Style. Some issues: include inappropriate use of bolding and of capitalization and general grammar issues. If you are having trouble in this regard, you could contact someone at the Guild of Copy Editors. Hello. I'm working on the FAC Ralph Bakshi, and some reviewers have suggested that the prose needs work. Do you have time to take a look at the article? Thanks in advance! (Ibaranoff24 (talk) 17:45, 15 May 2009 (UTC)) Needs another copyedit. This article is on an excrutiatinlgy slow march to FAC. ResMar 00:16, 13 June 2009 (UTC) This article was promoted to FA in November 2008 but I've never been entirely satisfied with some of the flow in the article. I wrote the majority of the current article and I'm slowly finding more things to rework but it would be nice to have an uninvolved pair of eyes to look over the article. Please comment on the article talk page if you have any concerns; thanks. --Brad (talk) 21:45, 13 June 2009 (UTC) Greetings. I overhauled these articles and made them considerable more informative and fully referenced with reliable sources. It would really help if someone with better knowledge of English than me would copy edit them - they are both pretty short. Have a nice day!-- LYKANTROP ✉ 12:50, 18 June 2009 (UTC) - I'm on it. OK, I think clearing up how old each band member was in 1996 will help because the first graf mentions an average age of 12. Later on, though, there is an ambiguous non-essential phrase that seems to suggest two members were 12. Fdssdf 03:31, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
- Finished looking it over. Wacław Kiełtyka's name is misspelled (with special characters) in the "Band members" section. I didn't fix it because I have no idea what the commands are for those characters. Also in the "Band members" section, consider getting rid of the extra information, (also played with etc.) and move that information up higher so we don't clutter the tiny section with words we can put in actual body paragraphs. Not much wrong with the article as a whole. All my fixes were minor stuff. Fdssdf 04:16, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
- I will look at the other article tomorrow some time ... Fdssdf 04:22, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you a lot for doing this! I think I addressed those issues.-- LYKANTROP ✉ 12:58, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
- Are Scrape My Lungs and Fortuitous Oddity demo songs or demo albums? It's a bit ambiguous at the moment because people think of a demo as one song, but the titles are italicized, which connotes an album. Fdssdf 04:28, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
- Done. Confirm those two songs/albums are one of them and use the phrase "demo album" or "demo song" just to completely eliminate confusion. There is one sentence in the Anomalies etc section that is long because I combined a couple sentences. If you think it's too long, pare it down at will. Most of my changes were, again, very minor. Fdssdf 05:25, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot. It's done now.-- LYKANTROP ✉ 11:00, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
I am going to submit this for FAC shortly, so I was hoping some keen eyes could skim over the text and give a consensus. It shouldn't require too much work, I think the prose is relatively consistent and adequate, however I know what FAC is like! Thanks in advance. MasterOfHisOwnDomain (talk) 10:55, 21 June 2009 (UTC) Needs some copyediting.yousaf465' Working on it becoming a Featured list one day but to get there the article needs a good copyedit from a skilled copy editor of the Guild! Any help from fellow guild members is greatly appreciated. AVandtalkcontribs 22:34, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
- I'm not sure I'll have the time to copy edit this, but I just saw the article, and there seems to be way too much white space. I know those maps are causing the problem, but it's the most bizarre body-image relationship I've ever seen in an article. I don't even know how to begin lessening the white space, but I just wanted to bring it up, even though I'm sure it's apparent to anyone who sees it. Fdssdf 15:47, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
This is a substantial article, but it seems over-written and seems to overuse quotations. This article recently failed a Good Article nomination, and the reviewer suggested that I get another editor to copy edit the page to smooth things out, so I came here. Any takers? [[User:Cat's Tuxedo|]] (talk) 15:42, 3 July 2009 (UTC) - I'll take a peek. Fdssdf (talk) 22:05, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- In the "Plot Overview" section, there is mention of "NV", but I don't see any explanation for what this stands for. Also I was de-capitalizing "crystals" in some places, but I also saw the word "mojo" and "power gems" capitalized. I'm going to leave the rest of these capitalized unless you think they shouldn't be, Tuxedo. I did change some in the early grafs. Fdssdf (talk) 22:27, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- OK, I finished looking it over. Tuxedo, take a look at the capitalization stuff, and decide whether or not those words deserve their capitalization. And the "NV" thing should be explained, as well. Other than that, it was pretty clean.Fdssdf (talk) 22:42, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- NV doesn't stand for anything. And most if not all those things are capitalized in the manuals and games in the series, so I'll fix those right now. [[User:Cat's Tuxedo|]] (talk) 23:26, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
The article is current C-class, but very close to B-class. I plan to a GAN for this once the peer review is over and copy editing issues are dealt with.陣内Jinnai 04:09, 12 July 2009 (UTC) It's sitting in FAC right now with a 1a objection. I've passed 5 Featured Articles in the past, and my writing care has improved enough that I can say without arrogance or doubt that the article is in pretty damn good condition already; I gave it two years of fresh eyes and performed other copyediting techniques on it. Nonetheless, I need some help to push it over the edge, and none of my friends, my contacts, or even Quest fans I know are interested in helping. I'll repay the favor to anyone who helps, as I'd love to get this passed in time for a request for Today's Featured Article on August 26th, the show premiere's anniversary. ZeaLitY [ DREAM - REFLECT ] 07:39, 12 July 2009 (UTC) Vampyr is an article I have worked on, but it was recently just tagged for needing some copy-editing. I am trying my best to correct the English grammatical mistakes on the page I'm working on ---but English is my second language so this task is impossible. Thanks, WhiteArcticWolf (talk) 23:31, 2 August 2009 (UTC) The article has been through a series of reviews, and is currently at GA. Socrates2008 (Talk) 21:27, 3 August 2009 (UTC) This article is currently at FAC, and has been identified as needing a copyedit. Is there anyone who would be able to help out with this? SP-KP (talk) 18:08, 4 August 2009 (UTC) This article would have passed a GA nomination if not for its prose. It was written mostly by a non-native English speaker, so there are problems with grammatical articles and syntax. A pleasure to read, if not to edit. The Homosexualist (talk) 20:07, 4 August 2009 (UTC) - Even the title is poor English. It needs a move at least, if not a deletion. — ℜob C. alias ᴀʟᴀʀoʙ 19:22, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
Aloha! The WP:ACID article at the present, Severe weather, is in need of some major copyediting...spelling, grammar, punctuation, the whole works. When someone gets some spare time, it would be a great help if they could please do a copyedit of the article. Thanks much, Ks0stm (T•C) 03:49, 5 August 2009 (UTC) - The article is currently waiting on this copyedit before we send it to GAN. Ks0stm (T•C) 11:29, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
This article is about the International train service between London, Paris, and Brussels. I have made massive improvements to the article over the last few months, a really strong referencing system now exists, but it really needs the eyes of someone else. A recent Peer Review also recommended the need for a copy-edit, and this seems to be the community in which it can be conducted. A good copy-edit is needed if it is to go further from being a GA, which was recently awarded, to the status of FA, which I hope to motivate the article towards. The effort would be appreciated, and I'd be eager to hear the improvements that are put forward to bring it into a refined product. Kyteto (talk) 13:36, 8 August 2009 (UTC) The article is already a good article but a recent FAC failed mainly because of copyediting related problems. A copyedit would really help this article out and possibly FA eventually.--Giants27 (c|s) 02:36, 9 August 2009 (UTC) Article I've been working on for quite a while that's been nominated for FAC more than once and bombed due to prose issues. I would like to give it one last shot at the process after checking through everything twice myself, and a solid copyedit would definitely help in that regard and improve it. Kung Fu Man (talk) 15:15, 14 August 2009 (UTC) This article has gone through two peer reviews and both have found that a decent copy edit will probably get this article up to the point it needs to be to face FAC. Disaster article that's not arduously long and should be relatively easy to understand even with no prior knowledge of the subject. Any help much appreciated! Thanks, --Kuzwa (talk) 02:41, 19 August 2009 (UTC). Never mind, someone I know in real life took a look at it and gave me all the improvements probably needed. Will go for FAC shortly and if it fails I will come back. :) --Kuzwa (talk) 03:03, 20 August 2009 (UTC) Alas it never ends! This article is currently going through the FAC procedure and is very close to passing though most people who have looked at it thus far thinks it needs a look at from an experienced copy editor. The article has passed GA status. An A-Class review states it needs copy-editing to get it to A/FA status. From reading some comments in the review it is mainly on short paragraphs and elements of prose. One example given is comma use. Some of it still sounds a bit prosaic, but I don't edit history articles much, so I'm not sure what's considered acceptable. I've tried to tone it down even more, by removing some of the pr-type language and am sure that this final version is a good source of basic information about the company, it's origins and goals. At least that's what I've tried to do ;-) Please could you tell me how I can go about putting it back on line now?

- Happy to have helped with the copy-editing. As far as I know, you should just be able to copy and paste it to the Trustive page. Since it was previously deleted for being too commercial, post a message to the talk page as soon as you're done with the main page, indicating that this is a second attempt and that you've had help toning it down. I'll watch the page and try to encourage people to help tone it down further if it's felt that's needed, rather than outright deleting it again. —RobinHood70 (talk • contribs) 09:43, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

Prime Minister of the United Kingdom - I recently expanded his article, but I'd dearly like to get it to GA and (possibly) FA. Ideally I'm looking for someone who can 1) copyedit my awful prose but 2) and more importantly, take a knife to it. The article is going to be far, far too long otherwise. Ironholds (talk) 10:46, 29 September 2009 (UTC) Hey folks - I'd like to request this article be given a thorough copyedit as, even after 3 FACs and 5 PRs (with one ongoing), we're still having considerable difficulty with our prose (as you can see from comments on the current PR page). We're still in a FA push, and would really like to see it pass, as the article content is sound. Please, be as bold as you like! :-D Colds7ream (talk) 11:05, 3 October 2009 (UTC) This article has been sitting on the bottom of the backlog for a long time. I've just tweaked it a bit, but I don't feel particularly excellent about the results. I'd appreciate a second set of eyes giving it a look. --Moralis (talk) 00:00, 4 October 2009 (UTC) Hello - I need assistance in 'wikifying' this article. I have read through the WP:MOS article and have made several attempts at editing. Note that there is more information to be added. If you can, point out where there may be weak sections as well so that I may know what to look out for during my research. Give a look and let me know on the article's talk page what is required, thanks! X01 (talk) 03:34, 4 October 2009 (UTC) This article is a mess of errors in spelling, formatting, and grammar. It could use some TLC from an eagle-eyed editor. 76.105.239.34 (talk) 03:44, 8 October 2009 (UTC) I am preparing this list for WP:FLC. It still needs a little bit of copy-editing: 1. use convert templates to convert all measures in the "Format" column. 2. Remove "." for non-sentences (mainly in "Remarks" and "Format" columns). 3. Add alt text to images. 4. Search for more pictures (basically any image can be used with the PD-Art tag). It would be great to get some help with any of these tasks. bamse (talk) 20:56, 8 October 2009 (UTC) Hoping for the article to become a GA one day, just needs a bit of copyediting for tone and grammar. Would be appreciated. Thanks, TaerkastUA (Talk) 20:27, 12 October 2009 (UTC) The article is undergoing an A-class review and a run-through for copyedits has been suggested. Thanks in advance, Constantine ✍ 08:47, 13 October 2009 (UTC) Comments at the last FAC mentioned prose issues; an independent copyedit would be much appreciated. Thanks! –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 20:56, 13 October 2009 (UTC) A recent rewrite needs attention to grammar, but also overall flow and continuity of text. Thanks, The Flash {talk} 14:55, 25 October 2009 (UTC) Article has passed GA, would like to bring it to FA in the longer term and I feel that it would benifit from attention by GoCE members.
