Northern Canada resources- The resources of Northern Canada. - Egyptian lifestyle The Egyptians had a hard time, there were heavy attacks from all angles, they hadn't much time for technology. However they did actually develop and improve basic machinery such as machine that could pull bucket full of water over and over again with ease. The farmers made there money by growin crop by the River Nile a vast, broad river that runs through the center of the country. A long time before they had Pharoahs and the whole of egypt worked together; Egypt was a battlefield of a civil war between North and South of Egypt. Until one day a rich, powerful man called himself the Pharoah. As a farmer you would have to wait until the River Nile flooded the banks. This happened by the summer heat melting the ice upon the moantains, therefore the Estuary was getting bigger. The reason for waiting once a year for the River Nile to flood was that when the water drained again, it left a fertile soil ( Almost perfect for growin crops. ) The Egyptians had houses with flat roofs because it was easier to make. The reason that most houses are traingular is because in Egypt, there is hardly any rain. The triangular roofs are used to make the rain drip down to the floor. New born babies would often be naked, due to poverty and heat. Once they get to about eight, they then wear short or sleeveless shirts. There education was basic, they were learnt to write Egyptian, which is often refered as Hierogliphs or Hierogliphics. Kyle Hinks --82.47.96.56 (talk) 20:23, 28 March 2009 (UTC) years old

- mixed cultivation- The term mixed cultivation designates the simultaneous cultivation of several species (and several varieties of similar species) on the same field with varying contact between the mixing partners. The joint cultivation of different plant species corresponds significantly more to the variety of natural vegetation cover than monoculture. Mixed cultivation represents a traditional method of cultivation, whose advantages above all lie in yield stability and the sparing of resources. The positive effects of mixed cultivation are determined by the competitive behaviour of the mixing partners. The clearer the reciprocal stimulation, the greater the advantages are as well.
