Administrator instructions
 | Error reports Please post error reports regarding only what is currently on today's or tomorrow's main page here. For general main page discussions, go to Talk:Main Page. |
To report an error you have noticed on today's or tomorrow's Main Page, please add it to the appropriate section below. Please note:
- Errors can be fixed faster when a correction is offered, so please be specific.
- References can be helpful, especially when reporting an obscure factual or grammatical error.
- Remember that the Main Page usually defers to supporting pages for accuracy or when there is disagreement, so it is best to achieve consensus and make any necessary changes there first.
- Note that Coordinated Universal Time is used for the current date and time (17:02 on 25 Nov 2009), and this may not coincide with your local time zone.
- Once an error has been fixed, the error report will be removed from this page; please check the page's history to verify that the error has been rectified and for any other comments the administrator may have made.
- Lengthy discussions should be moved to a suitable location elsewhere.
- Using {{editprotected}} here will not give you a faster response, and in fact breaks the template when it is placed directly on the Main Page Errors page instead of on a talk page.
[edit] Errors in the summary of today's or tomorrow's featured article
- Change the term "row" in the Babri Mosque bullet to "hissy fit." I believe that is a much more appropriate term. Glacier Wolf 17:57, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- Helpful suggestions only please... NW (Talk) 22:38, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

- Well, that's fine, but if I could, can I suggest that it be changed to a more English-variant nuetral term, as "row" meaning "disagreement or fight" is completely unknown to 99% of Americans? It's just not in our vocabulary. To most of us we see "row" and think "boat." 173.88.172.69 (talk) 06:40, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
- The Liberhan Commission has been presented to the Indian parlimenat, so it's no longer a leaked version.--yousaf465' 02:45, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
- The item re the German - Japanese anti-commniterm pact disagrees (by one year) with the article it links to. The article says it was agreed to (verbally, I suppose) in 1935, but the article says the signing was delayed by a year, to 1936, due to "concerns by the German Foreign Minister". Wwheaton (talk) 01:16, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

- Fixed. The article and various sources say signed on 25 Nov 1936 (as does November 25). Thanks for reporting it - Dumelow (talk) 01:27, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
The item Re: the Hollywood blacklist is identified as "McCarthyism," yet this blacklisting was a result of the House Un-American Activities Committee, which had no affiliation with McCarthy, who served in the US Senate. It also occurred before McCarthy's infamous hearings into the US Army during the 1950s. 68.196.19.147 (talk) 02:44, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
- "McCarthyism" covers far more than the activities of McCarthy himself, as our article explains. Algebraist 02:55, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
Reporters: please first correct today's or tomorrow's regular version.
