Bonaire, part of the Netherlands Antilles, will hold the Bonaire constitutional referendum, 2010 to determine what the country should do when the Netherlands Antilles ceases to exist on 10 October. Iraq holds the Iraqi parliamentary election, 2010 and the Iraqi Status of Forces Agreement referendum, 2010. The former will elect a new Council of Representatives of Iraq which will then elect a Prime Minister and a President. This has been delayed before and may be delayed again (but must occur before Jan 31). The referendum is for the approval (or not) of the U.S.–Iraq Status of Forces Agreement, an agreement for the continued presence (and gradual withdrawal) of US troops (which was required after their United Nations Security Council Resolution 1790 mandate expired).
