[edit] Introduction To vote or nominate you have to be a registered user with at least one contribution that is not a vote. Anyone who does so is encouraged to make at least one edit per vote or nomination to the currently chosen article, Severe weather. Any and all articles may be nominated except: [edit] How to nominate | I | Add nomination Copy and paste the following template to the bottom of the list of nominations on this page and fill it out. Please be sure to spell the article correctly, THE NAME IS CASE-SENSITIVE! ==={{la|Article}}=== {{acid|start=December 2, 2009|votes=1}} <!-- Remember to update the vote counter when you place your vote! --> ; Support: # ~~~~ ; Comments: * (put your reason for nomination) --~~~~ ---- Under "comments" section put explanation of what work is needed. | | II | Notify After submitting the new nomination, go to the nominated article's talk page and put this at the top: {{ACIDnom}} | [edit] How to vote Sign with "# ~~~~" on the end of the list of the article you want to vote for and then update the vote count in the subhead. Opposing votes are not counted; see approval voting. You can vote for as many articles as you like. Additionally you can give a comment in the comment section; use terms such as appalling and shocking sparingly, remember that every editor that has ever edited a nominated article probably did so to the best of his of her ability. [edit] How the article is selected Article with the most votes every two weeks or so is selected as "The current Article Improvement Drive article". If two articles have same number of votes, the nominee with the higher number of hits per day over the previous month wins. The following template: {{Template:ACIDcur}} is placed atop the article talk page. [edit] How an article is removed from the list Nominated articles remain on this page for three "selections", after which that article entry is removed from and moved to the page for removed nominations. - An article about a basic building block of architecture (chuckle). In a fair state and might make GA without too much fuss. --Casliber (talk · contribs) 22:30, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

- I understand war is more interesting to write about, but it has three tags on it (one stating it needs to be rewritten completely) dating back to at least January 2007. --Tschravic (talk) 08:05, 30 April 2009 (UTC) Also, it is listed as a 'vital' article. - This is a very important article in a poor, Start-class state. By rights needs to be a featured article given its importance to various projects. Colds7ream (talk) 16:55, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

- This is an extremely important article that is within the scope of multiple WikiProjects, including Wikipedia:WikiProject Vital Articles. It is also a highly viewed article, receiving thousands of views a day. However, it is lacking a reasonable number of verifiable references, and there are sections written entirely without one. A substantial copyedit would also benefit it greatly. Thanks, Hayden120 (talk) 08:16, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

- This is one of the new seven wonders of the world and an extremely popular tourist attraction. Yet the coverage is surprisingly minimal. Some obvious improvements:
- A list of all the main features, with photos. This is the most obvious missing information.
- Improved section on Bingham's "discovery"
- Expanded section on theories about its purpose.
- Better references
- Less prominence given to controversy with Harvard. --Stevage 11:17, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

- The article is not in bad shape. However it lacks references to many important facts. If someone can source these, it would bring the article to A or GA status. It could easily result in the article being brought up to FA status. This article is ranked as top importance for two of the supporting projects and it has also been B rated since Wikipedia:Version 0.5. --Vegaswikian (talk) 01:51, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

- For a subject of such high calibre (The world land speed record), this article is nothing more than a poorly written stub, and really deserves much better. There is a wealth of information about this subject but it's unfortunately not in the article. My University did the computational fluid dynamics testing for the car so I can try to provide more technical information and images to go with the article but it'd be great if people could help. Thanks! --Benbread (talk) 09:48, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

- I just think this article has potential to become at least a GA with the proper care. There's a lot of good content here, it just needs proper referencing and some TLC. And if you're Canadian you KNOW this is an important topic. ;) --Ϫ 00:29, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

- Potentially very important branch of science, but needs its name reviewed and needs some more specific info (e.g. concerning the structure of possible computable models). A section on applications would also be useful; currently the only application mentioned is determining the possibility or impossibility of hypercomputers. --NeonMerlin[2] 16:28, 12 October 2009 (UTC)

- This main article, and all articles related to the current debate on healthcare reform in the United States are in very desperate need for an overhaul and expansion
It is amazing that there are such dismal articles around such an important topic. This is unacceptable for wikipedia's standards on such subjects. Even articles on events that continue to unfold, such as the events surrounding the Death of Michael Jackson, are far more clear, well organized, and thorough. I started a WikiProject proposal page: Current Health Care Reform in the United States. Please vote here and if you are interested in collaborating on the WikiProject proposal page, sign your name there. NittyG (talk) 07:06, 27 October 2009 (UTC) - Support

- A growing sport that has not recieved a whole lot of attention on Wikipedia apart from a core group of editors that keep it going. Its two subarticles, box lacrosse and field lacrosse, are both GA and much can be taken from them, but I feel it is important that this essential topic receives the attention it deserves and is brought to at least GA status. --Yarnalgo talk to me 21:20, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
