Whalley Range is an inner-city area of Blackburn in Lancashire. The area has a large South Asian community with the majority of residents being from India and Pakistan. Houses in the area are predominantly terraced and go up on a hill in a typical Pennine mill town style. Whalley Range attracts Asian visitors from all over the UK due to its desi atmosphere and distinct retail cluster^[1]. Whalley Range is currently undergoing an urban regeneration programme to gentrify and modernise the area, the planning agency BDP have said that fashion could form a key theme to market the area^[2].
