Weston, Illinois was a community in Kane County, Illinois, near Batavia, which was voted out of existence by its village board, in order to provide a site for the National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab), which was selected by the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission on 1966-12-16.^[1]
