Welcome (Hindi: वेलकम, Urdu: ویلکم) is a 2007 Hindi film, directed by Anees Bazmee. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Feroz Khan, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Malika Sherawat and Paresh Rawal.
[edit] PlotUday Shetty (Nana Patekar), Saagar (Anil Kapoor) and their boss RDX (Feroz Khan) are three notorius dons. Uday is very keen to get his sister, Sanjana Shetty (Katrina Kaif) married into a virtuous family. One day at a mall, a shop catches fire. Inside that shop is Sanjana.Seeing everyone crying for Sanjana, a man enters the shop to rescue Sanjana. but seeing Sanjana's beauty, the man doesn't realise that his arm had caught fire. He faints and finally Sanjana is the one to carry the man outside the shop. Dr. Ghungroo (Paresh Rawal),then enters. It is shown that he has a very successful boutique. On the day Dr. Ghungroo is revealed, he receives a call from Majnu who demmands one crore rupees as "protetion money'. Thiking it to be a prank call, Dr. Ghungroo insults him. Furious, Majnu raids his boutique.Dr. Ghungroo then pleads Majnu's secretary to help save him from the don's wrath.He advices Dr. Ghungroo to go to Uday shetty. Thinking Uday to be a good man,Dr. Ghungroo goes to him.There, after Majnu was scolded by day ,Uday aks Dr. Ghungroo to find a husband for his sister. Thinking Majnu to be a successful businesman, rather than a don, he asks whether his nephew, Rajiv would do. Thus they gets ready to arrange his nephew Rajiv Saxena's (the man who had rescued Sanjana (Akshay Kumar) marriage to Uday's sister Sanjan. Meanwhile, Sanjana is unaware of her brother's plan about her marriage with Rajiv. On learning that Uday is a don, Ghungroo flees with Rajiv to South Africa. Rajiv meets Sanjana in 'Sun ciy' on the first of April, and the two fall in love. Dr. Ghungroo does not realise that she is a sister of a don. Uday sent Majnu to go to Ghungroo and inform him that Sanjana cannot marry Rajiv as she loves somebody else (who is Rajiv) while Rajiv goes to meet Uday to speak to him about his marriage with Sanjana. Confusion and chaos result when Ghungroo belatedly realises that Sanjana is Uday's sister and Uday realises that Rajiv is Dr. Ghungroo's nephew. Seeing Uday Shetty (as a don) as Sanjana's brother, Dr. Ghungroo faints .he regains conciousess in an ambulace, but ultimately Dr. Ghungroo approves the mrriage. Their engagement day dawns where Rajiv and Sanjana, true lovers are full of bliss and delight. But their happiness ends when stunning Isha-Ishika (Mallika Sherawat) comes into the picture and claims that she is Rajiv's fiance′e. This drama done by Isha-Ishika was set by Dr. Ghungroo who didn't want to approve his nephew's marriage in a Don family. Afterthe engagement breaks Dr. Ghungroo reveals that he had promised Rajiv's dying mother that he would not let Rajiv marry into a criminal family. So to get married, Sanjana and Rajiv try to change Uday and Majnu using Isha-Ishika. Ishika then acts as if to fall in love with Uday and Majnu. They try to onvert Uday into an actor and Majnu into a pintr. This goes on till one day Rajiv by accident shoot RDX's son. After shooting him, RDX goes after the lot. The dos and other min members meet at RDX's outhouse. There a group of municil workers cut the house down. As the house was about to fall everyon escaped except for Lucky, RDX's son. Rajiv the plays on his life nd saves Lucky. Full of gratitude , RDX gives Rajiv a boon. ajiv asks Uday ,Majnu and RDX to leave the underworld. After thicks and thins, they make the impossible, possible by really removing the DON-GIRI from them. [edit] Crew
