"Weatherfish" and "weather loach" redirect here. The species Cobitis taenia is sometimes called "spotted weather loach".

{{Taxobox | | genus_authority = Lacepède, 1803 | subdivision_raWeather loaches are very active when they want to be. Weather loaches don't like full tropical temperatures for more than a few weeks, it's best for them in coldwater or sub tropical. The name comes from their "activeness" when the weather is going to change dramaticly. when they do swim about very fast, don't be alarmed. The weather is going to change, although they can be very active when the weather isn't changing. nks = Species weatherloaches eat flakes and sinking pellets. They will also gobble up brine shrimp and some dojos eat snails. these fine fishes will go with most fish from zebra danios to goldfish. They go perfect with, zebra danios, white cloud mountain minnows, peppered corys and lake tebera rainbowfish at 22*c. in coldwater they go with fancy, common goldfish and white cloud mountain minnows. These fish can sometimes catch whitespot and fungal problems but if the water quality is good there should not be a problem. Males have larger more triangular pectoral fins than the smaller rounded pectoral females. Breeding is rare but raising the temp and the water flow at the same time usually triggers spawning in the wild.

Misgurnus is a genus of loaches. Commonly known as weatherfishes or weather loaches, they are commonly eaten in Asia.
