This is a Chinese name; the family name is Wang (汪).

Wang Yang (simplified Chinese: 汪洋)(born 26 July 1989 in Wuhan, Hubei Province) is a Chinese professional football player. He normally plays as right winger or striker.

Wang started his career with Wuhan. After the team quit the Chinese Super League in 2008, he went to Cercle Brugge on trial in early 2009, together with his fellow-countryman defender Mei Fang. After this trial, Wang and Mei returned to China, and the Cercle board decided to offer a contract to Wang. He signed until June 2010.

Wang Yang concluded the 2008-09 season with Cercle's reserves team. Wang is taken up in the first team for the 2009-10 season.

On the first matchday of the 2009-10 season, Wang made his debut for Cercle as an 84th minute substitute for Vuza Nyoni. Cercle lost the match 1-3, against AA Gent.
