Waldis Joaquín (born December 25, 1986, in Concepción de La Vega) is a Dominican baseball player for the San Francisco Giants of Major League Baseball. [edit] Minor LeagueJoaquín began his professional career in 2005 with the AZL Giants. He went 1–1 with a 3.64 ERA in 29 2/3 innings. He also struck out 37 batters. He did not play in 2006, but did play in 2007, for the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, with whom he went 3–0 with a 2.84 ERA in 38 innings. In 2008, he played for the San Jose Giants and Augusta Greenjackets, going a combined 1–3 with a 4.42 ERA in 71⅓ innings.
