Vrgorac (Croatia)

Vrgorac is a town in Croatia in the Split-Dalmatia county. It has a population of 7,593 (2001 census), 99% of whom are Croats.

In 2008, officials found the remains of six people near Vrgorac dating from the Second World War. They are thought to be the bodies of friar Maksimilijan Jurčić and others, taken from Ljubuški in January, 1945.^[1]
