Vincent "Vinny" Dunn better known by his ring name Vinny Dunn, is a New Zealand professional wrestler currently signed by Impact Pro Wrestling NZ (IPW). He is recognised as the first ever IPW South Pacific Champion, which he held from 18 August, 2007 until 15 March, 2008. He is also the 2006 Armageddon Cup Champion.

In August 2007, was 1 of the bachelors in The Edge contest Three Strangers and a Wedding. He was eliminated before the final 2 were picked by the bride-to-be.

As well as being a wrestler, Dunn is a teacher at Orewa College and works with the at risk youth. He is a retired amateur Rugby and Rugby League player, he has played for Hibiscus Coast Raiders (R.League) and Silverdale sea hawks (Rugby).[1]

Dunn made his wrestling debut in 2005 at Impact Pro Wrestling NZ's IPW Genesis in a loss against The Machine.[2]

At the 2006 NZPWI Invitational he was commentator, alongside Dion McCracken. On 10 November, 2007; Dunn competed in the First Invite Eliminator, but was unsuccessful.[3] Since 2005, Dunn has feuded with The Machine and Alfred Valentine. On 29 August, 2006 he was crowned the 2006 Armageddon Cup Champion.[4] On 18 August, 2007 at IPWA Unleashed (in Gold Coast, Australia) he defeated Jackaroo to become the First Ever IPW South Pacific Champion. He lost the title to "The Sweet Assassin" Sweet Ass at IPW Breaking Point on 15 March, 2008. After Sweet Ass was stripped of the title (due to injury) a match was setup between Dunn and "Dangerous" Vinnie Diamond at IPWA Battle Of The Tasman on April 12, 2008 in which Diamond was declared the winner.aa

[edit] 2008-Present

Currently in 2008, he is feuding with Jordan Invincible and Davey Deluxeo.

On 4 October, 2008 at IPW Rival Turf, Dunn,"Samoan Silverback" Alexander, Lil T and Pirates And Ninjas Are Totally Awesome (Team NZ) defeated. Cruz, Sweet Ass, "Dangerous" Vinny Diamond, Jackaroo and Nick Burns (Team Australia) in a Double Ring Capture The Flag Elimination Match.[5]

On 18 October at IPW Ground Zero, Dunn defeated. Jordan Invincible and “Double D” Davey Deluxeo in a Triple Threat #1 Contenders Match and won the right to challenge "The Deal" Dal Knox for the IPW New Zealand Heavyweight Championship at IPW Last Rites on 15 November. At Last Rites, Dunn and Knox's match ended in a double disqualification (resulting in Knox retaining the title) caused by The Xtreme Superstars' Davey Deluxeo and Jordan Invincible. [6]
