SDG&E 2000 Asbestos Removal Excavation Case Faces Another Obstacle mesotheliomaweb.org |
The peritoneum over the rectum and the bladder is continued over the intestinal surface and fundus of the uterus on to its vesical surface, which it covers as far as the junction of the body and cervix uteri, and then to the bladder, forming here a second, but shallower, pouch, the vesicouterine excavation (or uterovesical pouch). The vesicouterine excavation is close to the anterior fornix of the vagina.
[edit] Connection with the AFE zoneDue to its proximity to the AFE zone, some have speculated that the vesicouterine pouch and the AFE zone may be related or even one and the same. [edit] Additional images[edit] See also[edit] External links
