VITA Zahnfabrik, also known as VITA Zahnfabrik H. Rauter GmbH & Co. KG, is a privately-owned independent German product development firm specializing in the design, production, and distribution of prosthetic dental devices (porcelain and polymer) including crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, veneers, and fixed & removable artificial teeth as well as the equipment necessary to shape and install them. VITA is best known for establishing a broadly-accepted standard for the determination and reproduction of tooth shades, particularly the VITA Classical and VITA 3D-Master shade guides.
