Utah Career College is a private, for profit, accredited college providing specialized career training for careers in health science, business, legal science and information technology. Faculty members have professional on-the-job experience in their fields of instruction as well as strong academic credentials. UCC has three locations and offers several programs and many classes online.
[edit] HistoryUtah Career College (UCC), originally The Bryman School, was founded in downtown Salt Lake City in 1977. In 1988, the school moved to a more central location for Salt Lake City Valley students at 1144 West 3300 South. In October 2000, Utah Career College moved to its current location in West Jordan and in 2005 expanded into additional space to accommodate its growth. In 2006, the school began offering bachelor's degrees. In 2007 UCC opened a branch campus in Layton and in 2008 started a campus in Orem and opened a fully online division. The institution was granted permission to award Associate in Applied Science Degrees in 1996 and Bachelor of Science degrees in 2006.[1] [edit] TuitionTuition is $385.00 per credit hour, with the exception of courses required in the nursing program, for which tuition is $540.00 per credit hour. The Utah Career College Medical Assisting program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (http://www.caahep.org ) upon the recommendation of the Curriculum Review Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants Endowment (AAMAE).
