[edit] Slow down on the color edits

Shark, go a bit slower when making substantive changes to material that other editors have a lot of good work invested in. Dozens of edits in a row in one day makes it very hard for others to check and collaborate on your contributions. Dicklyon (talk) 05:22, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

It's possible to see a cumulative log of changes on the History page of an article by clicking on the left radio button for the first edit, and the right radio button for the last edit. This is a very convenient tool, as you can see all the interim changes on a single page. There aren't a lot of people contributing to the article, so I didn't think it was that important to monitor changes. SharkD (talk) 05:26, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
Right, I know how to use it. But when you've done a ton of section rearrangements and rewrites, it's very hard to tell what meanings might have changed without inspecting each edit. And when there are 4 or 5 in a row to get the wording right on a section, it's that much harder. And all that in one day makes you look too much like User:Brews ohare :). Dicklyon (talk) 05:48, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Happy Bastille Day!

Dear fellow Wikipedian, on behalf of the Kindness campaign, I just want to wish you a Happy Bastille Day, whether you are French, Republican or not!  :) Happy Editing! Sincerely, --A NobodyMy talk 23:32, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Pool of Radiance

Hey there. :) I've put in a bunch of work on Pool of Radiance, and I'd like to take it to GA before the month is over. If there's any way you can help out, great! BOZ (talk) 03:56, 15 July 2009 (UTC)\

I've nominated the article for GA. :) BOZ (talk) 16:58, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit] 2 Speedy moves you proposed

I removed the proposals for Category:Video games by license and Category:Lua-scripted games because neither qualifies for speedy renaming. The first one doesn't because "not specific enough" is not one of the accepted reasons. And the second one doesn't qualify because conformity is only acceptable if it's x by y or x of y or x in y. I will say, though, that if you nominate both in the regular Wikipedia:Categories for Deletion page, they will probably be approved. They simply don't fit in the speedy guidelines. --User:Woohookitty Diamming fool! 05:12, 18 July 2009 (UTC)

[edit] VG review template

Are you satisfied enough to move it out of the sandbox? There hasn't been any comments in about a week.Jinnai 21:32, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

Don't you mean User:Guyinblack25? He's the guy who made the template. SharkD (talk) 00:07, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
Yea, sorry about that.Jinnai 01:39, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

[edit] VG template

I think i've clarified it as best I can without knowing the code. Several of the new items would require parent fields.Jinnai 04:09, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Please update your status with WP:VG

Dear WikiProject Video games member,

You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in recent months.

The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.

All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:

Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

[edit] Happy Halloween!

Photograph of my Halloween-themed Hush Puppies plush basset hounds in my bedroom.

As Halloween is my favorite holiday, I just wanted to wish those Wikipedians who have been nice enough to give me a barnstar or smile at me, supportive enough to agree with me, etc., a Happy Halloween! Sincerely, --A NobodyMy talk 16:48, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

[edit] eMusic

Hi there - i have some draft copy for the eMusic page on my user talk page. The first section would replace the "Selection" section in the existing entry, and the second section, "Site Features," is new. Take a look and let me know your thoughts. (Note I'm still working on a few of the links.) Melomania (talk) 20:38, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

I'll look over it in the next couple of days. SharkD (talk) 00:09, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Sphere problem still

this image still has two HSL spheres, one of which has no grays. Did you mean one to be HSV? I'd be happy to review any changes you may consider. Dicklyon (talk) 02:18, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

Should be fixed now. You might have to refresh your browser cache. SharkD (talk) 23:44, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Would you like a mop?

If you don't wish to run for adminship, that's OK. I understand. Q3 does kind of concern me as will many others at RFA. MuZemike 08:37, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
IMHO, perhaps now might not exactly be the best time to run for adminship. Apart from Q3, I notice you haven't been very active in the past few months. I think you might want to get a few months of sustained editing before attempting RfA...just my two cents. Regards, FASTILY (TALK) 09:20, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, maybe that would be for the best. Some weeks I am very involved in Wikipedia, others I am totally absent. SharkD  Talk  13:17, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
No problems with me. I really appreciate you being upfront about it. MuZemike 16:50, 30 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Naming/content of Role-playing game

Hi, I see from your previous posts that you have an interest in the naming/content of Role-playing game. That article currently describes tabletop roleplaying games, with other forms of roleplaying such as video RPGs and LARP described as a variety of tabletop game. Based on the comments on the talk page, it seems that many users are surprised to find that the article Role-playing game is about tabletop role-playing games.

I have made a proposal that in order to meet the WP:NAME policy that article should describe all activities commonly described as role-playing games on an equal footing, and that a new article Tabletop role-playing game should be created to describe tabletop roleplaying games. If you have the time I'd be grateful if you could give your opinion on my proposal at Talk:Role-playing game. Ryan Paddy (talk) 23:18, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
