[edit] WikiProject Children's LiteratureI notice that your talk page says your on wikibreak, and am only interrupting you because I saw that you just edited the project page. It seems that this wikiproject has fallen into disuse in the past few months (although there's still lots of good work being done on articles within its scope). I would like to try to revitalize the project and would appreciate any input from more experienced participants (I thought it best to ask some of the more active contributors for input first since a general statement on the talk page might come off as pretentious, i.e. "the newest member trying to take charge"). A lot of wikiprojects have departments so it seems like that and a "roll call" of the general body might be a good start. Aurum ore (talk) 06:46, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Template:EntourageHi. What policy is this revert based on? Sure, some TV show templates don't include the cast, crew, or quotes: And some do:
But I can't find a guideline either way (Wikipedia:Navigational box is no help). Maybe the Wikiquotes link isn't all that common (I stole it from Template:How I Met Your Mother) and can be debated, but it's hardly pernicious or offtopic (it's an interwiki link, which is arguably halfway between an internal and external link). Links to cast and/or crew, on the other hand, are common and, as far as I can see, uncontentious. (P.S. Please reply here.) chocolateboy (talk) 07:08, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
[edit] RE: Harry PotterHello, OK, sorry about that. Thanks for telling me. The Helpful One (Review) 20:15, 11 September 2008 (UTC) [edit] Re: AfD on thisExcuse me, but the article is notable because of its popularity in books, and if we just trashed articles into one big one, some one would tag it. Oh, what happens if you double vote, anyway? RoryReloaded (talk) 21:16, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
[edit] The Danish PoetI am reviewing your article The Danish Poet for GA and have made some comments on the review page. I think it is a well written and well referenced article, but I am wondering if it is a little brief. Please feel free to comment on the review page and to contact me with any questions or comments. Regards, —Mattisse (Talk) 22:06, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
[edit] FigwitI am also reviewing Figwit for GA, a quite wonderful article that I just discovered. It seems to be in fine shape but if I have any comments I will post them on the article review page. Feel free to contact me. Regards, —Mattisse (Talk) 22:51, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Talk:The Seven Lady GodivasWhat is the point of adding "Project Children's Literature" to abook which was not intended for children? Since Salman Rushdie wrote Haroun and the Sea of Stories, does that mean that "Project Children's Literature" should be added to "Talk:The_Satanic_Verses_(novel)"? Do tell. [edit] Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBotSuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun! SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping. If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker. P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot (talk) 16:14, 26 September 2008 (UTC) [edit] Figwit and WITWExcuse me, but I tried to get Watcher in the Water to go to GA, how come an article called Figwit got to GA (it too like WITW has little referencing) while you said WITW will "never get to GA"? WITW has by far more information than Figwit.Lord of Moria Talk Contribs 12:29, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
[edit] BulletsPlease note there are no 'standards' regarding the size of bullets in navboxes. Barring in mind the (in)visibility of bullets, small fonts should use big bullets. However, one should always observe consistency; the Heroes templates use big bullets within the project. While this may be different in other navboxes, I'd appriciate leaving the Heroes boxes like they are. Also remember that once an edit is contested, it is up to you to build consensus for the change, not just revert. Thank you. — Edokter • Talk • 21:59, 5 October 2008 (UTC) [edit] HelloPlease refer to the recent discussion about cast lists in film articles at [1]. The edit you made to Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day contradicts what appears to be the general consensus. Thank you. LiteraryMaven (talk) 16:50, 1 November 2008 (UTC) [edit] GadsbyAt Talk:Gadsby (book)#Requested move you made a comment on the proposed move from "Gadsby (book)" to "Gadsby (novel)". In the Discussion sub-section I have proposed a compromise: "Gadsby: Champion of Youth". This is consistent with Wikipedia:Naming conventions (books)#Subtitles which suggests using subtitles only if it avoids a disambiguation and if the subtitle is short. In this case, the 3 word subtitle can be considered small, it avoids a disambiguation title, and it keeps the lipogram. Is this alternative ok? Please note that this option applies to the title only and makes no comment on the remainder of the article. maclean 18:10, 1 November 2008 (UTC) [edit] World War ZI just wanted to say good job and thanks for the amount of work you recently put into the World War Z article. Zombie Hunter Smurf (talk) 01:59, 18 November 2008 (UTC) [edit] References section of The Eyre AffairI would prefer to have the reference section you deleted included. I know that many people (me being one of them) use Wikipedia to find literature on comparatively new or obscure novels, and this reference section is very useful in my opinion. Lipsia07 (talk) 20:13, 22 November 2008 (UTC) [edit] Talk:Twilight (series)Talk page comments should only be removed if they are spam or off topic. The comment you removed was discussing the article. If you disagree with a suggestion being made then respond to it stating why don't simply remove the comment. --neon white talk 01:11, 12 December 2008 (UTC) [edit] Voice of FireHey Mr. Absurd, I left you a question at File talk:Voice of Fire.jpg#Licensing...I'm a little confused on copyright issues. Thanks, —Politizer talk/contribs 21:05, 21 December 2008 (UTC) [edit] Septimus HeapHi Absurd, we have created a Septimus Heap character page after finding quite a few character reviews and real world scenarios of it. Can you please check it? If proper then we can move it to the actual name. Let me know bout this :) "Legolas" (talk) 13:21, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Talk:Jenna HeapHi Ya that was a mistake. I didnot mean to do any changes. But can you please let me know what else can be changed in the articles so that their importance increases? waiting for your reply "Legolas" (talk) 08:05, 31 December 2008 (UTC) [edit] Template:Country historyThis is just a query about Template:Country history which you created. I don't know whether you have done it delibretly or not but when you put in a header it removes the data of the same number. If this problem was fixed then templates such as Template:History of France could be converted to this template without any lose of data. Personally I have examined the template and can't work out what it causing this so if anyone else knows how to fix this it would be very much appreciated. The Quill (talk) 17:25, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Date formatsThanks for the tip; as it happens, another user brought me up to date about this just yesterday too, so I have un-done a couple of cases of date links. I still think numeric-linked dates are reasonable to use within references, but I won't feel any need to bother changing other people's dates. Thx. Chonak (talk) 04:03, 8 January 2009 (UTC) [edit] Little Red RidinghoodYou seem to have reverted my edit from [2] where I changed each instance of "Riding Hood" to "Ridinghood". I believe that my edit was justified, as this is how the character's name is spelled in the published vocal score. Please let me know why you disagree. --Thomprod (talk) 00:14, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Toronto Reference LibraryJust stumbled upon your work in progress at User:Mr. Absurd/Toronto Reference Library. Very impressive, I can't wait for it to go live. I just put together a short article on its old home, now the Koffler Student Centre. - SimonP (talk) 03:17, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Watcher in the WaterI suppose you wouldn't mind considering giving some feedback on the GA status of the article now. 84.13.76.98 (talk) 17:32, 27 May 2009 (UTC) [edit] List of books by Dr SeussHello Mr. Absurd. Checking the history of the now redirected page, I can see that redirected the page. I understand the decision, but I have recently created a draft of a page, that I think would be appropriate and useful on Wikipedia. I was wondering if you could give me some input, and if you agree that List of books by Dr Seuss, should go public again. Oldag07 (talk) 20:45, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
