[edit] Cities Reverts

I had intended to work towards adding the missing counties, I doubt I'll bother now as I wasted my time on the cities before with you reverting them. Dr. Blofeld White cat 18:12, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

I am pressed for time already, so I haven't time to try to add infoboxes and have my edits reverted. In some cases you removed the other things I'd added too. All it was it that the other maps were better than the ones I had added that all. You accused me of vandalism. Dr. Blofeld White cat 11:56, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

OK not to worry, as long as you understand the principle about the standard infoboxes and China locator map. If you can follow my example and replace the old infoboxes on all with new ones and good locators which are conistent then this would be great. I noticed you added an infobox or two to a few which makes things much better. If you could ensure all the provincial level cities are up to standard. I believe I got as far as Jilin. I've started creating a series of country level templates. In my view these could probably replace the main ones we have right now and would make them more detailed and useful. I made the location map China to improve an understand as most have no idea where in china thwey are. They were set at 300 for a reason to make the location more clearer. At a smaller size it becomes more out of proportion to see where it it. Dr. Blofeld White cat 17:56, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

They are gradually being built at Wikipedia:WikiProject China/County-division templates. If you could also follow the example of the complete ones, see how the templates are built and then start to fill the empty templates with the counties and districts by provincial city. Eventually we'll have all the counties linked in the templates and when I have time will stub every county. Maybe you could start on Template:County-level divisions of Gansu Dr. Blofeld White cat 18:06, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

Agreed!! I will compy and paste the list of districts now into the empty templates to make it easier for you to edit. If you follow an example of a completed one you can see the idea that the provincial city is linked at the side and then you put the countries/ districts within it in the space beside it. You will need to click edit on a completed template to see how they are listed. Dr. Blofeld White cat 18:12, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

Yeah thats good I've added it to Template:Xinjiang Administrative Divisions. I've made a start on Gansu for you, the templates should all be consistent red and gold so if you can work through them and build them in the same way this would be great. I'm pretty busy with Vietnamese districts at the moment but I'll try to help with what I can. Dr. Blofeld White cat 19:16, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Hello

No, unfortunately I don't know the details behind those beauty marks for Song empresses. I should think that's an obscure topic of imperial fashion or ritual that only a rare amount of sources might explain. I'll look around, but I can't make any guarantees. Cheers.--Pericles of AthensTalk 00:31, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Ming Ruqun

Can you please present the ruqun article to third party or some dispute resolving party? I'm sick and tired of debating and editing the article. Supersentai (talk) 01:28, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Merging/Deleting

I'd like to keep the page for now. They're already distinct enough. I made another page, and was planning to add it. Bloodmerchant (talk) 02:32, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Peasant female empress

Hi Lennlin. I'm happy to say that I've known about Chen Shuozhen for quite some time now (for at least two years), but the article you shared from Oriental Style states a bunch of facts I was unaware of before. Thanks for sharing! Cheers.--Pericles of AthensTalk 20:24, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit] China templates

Hello. When making changes to the China templates as you've been doing recently, please check to make sure the links you're adding direct where you want them to–for example, by making changes like this. A large number of ambiguous links have been created by your edits, which were otherwise useful. Thanks in advance for checking this out. Dekimasuよ! 11:16, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Moving article

Before moving an article again, please state your reasons on the talk page and give other editors to respond to your suggested move. Readin (talk) 00:55, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Urat Middle Banner

Could you add some context? For example, in this article, it should start "Urat Middle Banner is a division of Inner Mongolia " or something - as it is now, the reader has no idea what the article is about. Ironholds (talk) 21:54, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Monguor

Regarding this edit: I agree that some parts of the article are slanted, since it's mostly from the research of one individual. But if you want to post a {{POV}} tag, you must start a discussion at the talk page, per procedure. {{POV}} tags without an accompanying discussion are generally removed. rʨanaɢ talk/contribs 21:35, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

Hi, please watch the Monguor article as User:Alexjhu keeps adding problematic sections that the user has written (The Chinese language, Origins of the “Han” concept), many of which has almost nothing to do with Monguor and seems to be ill-researched and presents itself in heavily POV fashion. Almost all of the content the user has written also cites Chinese language books with no ISBN number and makes it almost impossible to verify these sources.--TheLeopard (talk) 06:49, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Han Subgroups

Regarding your last message, I think the two should be merged under the name of Wuyue people, according to Chinese Wikipedia. I created Jiangnan people in response to a previous complaint, in previous messages. I have not created the shandong people nor the guangxi/kwongsai people page, so I think you should contact the previous creator of these pages if you have any problems with them. Bloodmerchant (talk) 19:23, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

I reverted your moves to "Guangxinese" and "Shandongese". Articles should not be titled by Wikipedian-invented neologisms. Just because "Cantonese" are called like this, doesn't mean every other subgroup should also have a similar name. Instead, the article titles should reflect what names scholars and journalists use in English to refer to the group in question. If you wish to move any more pages, you should ensure that you have consensus for the move in question, for example by starting a move request discussion on the talk page. Thanks, cab (talk) 00:30, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
