[edit] Widelands

Hi King of Hearts, In July I asked you to userfy the last revision of the Widelands article, after it got deleted. Unfortunally I was busy for quite some time, but now that I finally worked on it, I saw some other people already helped me out :). So could you please you check the current version at User:Nasenbaer_peter/Widelands and tell me if it fits the Wikipedia requierements?

Cheers Nasenbaer peter (talk) 13:38, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

I've reviewed it, and think it's acceptable now. I have moved it back. -- King of ♠ 18:21, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit] List of FETCH! with Ruff Ruffman episodes

Hey, you semi-protected this page through 2013. Do you remember specifically why? There's a request to have it unprotected at WP:RFPP. tedder (talk) 14:26, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

I think it's because the person said the last two protections were too short, that this time it needed to last. -- King of ♠ 00:36, 6 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Jonathan Park

Were you planning on completing the Jonathan Park to Vision Forum merge? If not, I'll be happy to do so. If so, I'll stay out of the way. :) God bless, American Eagle (talk) 01:01, 6 November 2009 (UTC)

No, I wasn't planning to do the merge. Feel free to go ahead with it. -- King of ♠ 01:07, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
Done; thanks. American Eagle (talk) 01:28, 6 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit] AFD Questions

Hey there,

I know you said that you were busy in real life, so I figured I would give you a heads up. I have finished up the AFD questions, and I would love to see your opinion on my closes if you have time.

Regards, MacMedtalkstalk 18:27, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

Might as well tell you here too that I think I got Q15, but, I'm not too sure... A little help?--Unionhawk Talk E-mail Review 19:24, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
@KoH: Just to let you know, I asked for some additional input from some of the opposers on my RFA. The main discussion seems to be going on here. MacMedtalkstalk 04:15, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
I'll try to respond ASAP. -- King of ♠ 04:56, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Invitation to participate in SecurePoll feedback and workshop

As you participated in the recent Audit Subcommittee election, or in one of two requests for comment that relate to the use of SecurePoll for elections on this project, you are invited to participate in the SecurePoll feedback and workshop. Your comments, suggestions and observations are welcome.

[edit] xfd closing scripts modifications

KoH, I've modified a couple of your closing scripts at User:Doug/closemfd.js and User:Doug/closetfd.js, the former had a recent change to the template removing the signature. I changed the template and the script to mirror the actions for tfd. Your tfd is broken because the name of tfd changed to Templates for discussion. I'm planning further additions shortly and may get involved with making DRV behave similarly. Just thought you'd like to know.--Doug.(talk contribs) 14:34, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

I modified my package script to reflect that. Thanks for updating it. :-) King of ♠ 04:38, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Young Rebel Goombas

You deleted an article I posted a while back for reasons that are not valid. Richie Saccente and Cosmo Mallardi of Young Rebel Goombas DID win New York Emmy Awards in 2007. Proof of this can be found at http://www.nyemmys.org/attachments/contentmanagers/64/2007%20Emmy%20Award%20Winners7_5_07.doc.

Addition of the award listing at IMDB is currently pending.

This is a very popular Trop-rock band that features Richie Cannata on sax. Mr. Cannata has been on dozens of major international pop hits with such artists as Billy Joel, Elton John and others. What is it going to take to get this listing back up?

[edit] Big Joe Duskin

I noticed you deleted an article on this subject, albeit back on 19 December 2006. I was hoping to create another. Can I assume the original was a copyvio problem (which I do not intend to replicate), rather than the subject matter itself ? Thanks,

Derek R Bullamore (talk) 21:59, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Yes, so you can recreate it. -- King of ♠ 22:01, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mohammad Shaikh

Hi. Back in June, you closed this to AfD as Muhammad Shaikh. It has reappeared under a new name and was tagged G4; both Schuminweb and I declined the G4 on the grounds that it was substantially different; he changed his mind and deleted it; I also changed my mind but have now changed it back and decided that the best course is to restore it, bring it back to AfD for another look, and notify everyone concerned in the first AfD. [edit] article deletion

Good evening. I wanted to briefly question the decision to delete my article. It appears as if I was deleted because I was not a notable enough entertainer, however, I do host the only sports show on the #1 ranked Internet Radio Station in this area and also ranked in the top 25 in the world (www.w4cy.com). As far as our internal numbers are concerned, my fan base is rather large. Is it "Howard Stern Show" large, of course not, but it's pretty decent. Additionally, I saw one of the comments that stated that I could not be found in the MLB database indicating that I never played in the Major Leagues. I never did, however, I did play minor league baseball for a short time rendering me eligible for membership in the Major League Baseball Alumni Association. Regardless, it was an important part of my bio and not intended to portray me as a Major Leaguer. Thanks for your time and consideration and have a great day.

[edit] Tony Capucci

Hello, I'm confused about your close. You overturned an AfD with a 3 to 2 !vote because of a style guideline? I don't think I've ever seen a style guideline used as a reason to delete an article. I've no problem with deleting the redirect if and when he's removed from the list, but until then it's very odd to not have a redirect to the list where the subject is listed. Hobit (talk) 05:03, 10 December 2009 (UTC)

The style guideline dictates that he should not be in the list. Some people who !voted to overturn in the DRV were uncomfortable deleting the redirects without a "formal" deletion discussion if a talk page discussion were held and the result were to remove them from the list. So it's to save bureaucracy. -- King of ♠ 05:22, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
The style guidelines, like all guidelines, are not always followed in all cases. _that_ style guideline is extremely commonly ignored as I showed in the DrV. If he's in the list, and he is, there is no reason to delete the redirect. And the decision to follow the guideline in that case requires local discussion. Finally, the "delete and merge" that has happened is likely a violation of the CC and GFD licenses... Probably so minor an amount of text it doesn't matter (and for all I know the list entry was there before the main article) but still, we don't delete and merge for a reason... Hobit (talk) 13:31, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
