[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia!Hello, KJBurns, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place Also, could you tell me how you found out Highway 51C "died"? I haven't seen anything else on the Internet about it. Again, welcome! ...Scott5114 09:40, 21 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] OK-108Looking good so far, I've added some links and the infobox. (Sorry about the broken graphic link at the bottom of the infobox - I can't upload images from the computer I'm at; I'll fix it ASAP.) The images we have right now are in SVG format, which can be resized better and takes up less space than PNG. (You can get a free SVG editor called Inkscape.) The existing images are on Wikimedia Commons, and are all shown at Oklahoma state highway shields. They aren't exactly conformant to the standards (I made them before the standards were posted, and somehow they ended up off-center), but they'll probably be replaced soon by more accurate ones. We generally don't put shield graphics before or after the links in the article, because it distracts from the flow of the text. Shield graphics are used, however, in infoboxes and freeway exit lists. You can find other stuff to help you at Wikipedia:WikiProject Oklahoma State Highways. Thanks for your help! ...Scott5114 18:10, 22 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] The infoboxesI thought you might want to know that I made a change to the Oklahoma highway infoboxes. They now automatically calculate the length in kilometers for you, so you don't have to specify anything for length_km. The only drawback is you can't put references or things like ½ in the length_mi field, but that's a small price to pay for the convenience of not having to look the conversion up :) ...Scott5114 21:06, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:OK-33.JPGHey, I replaced this image with a free SVG, Image:Ok-33_path.svg and put it in the OK-33 article. Would you mind overmuch if I took the Google Earth image to IFD so it can be deleted? Also, I found the SVG 3A shield you uploaded to Commons and fixed it so now it displays properly. The Wikimedia servers don't have the Roadgeek fonts on them, so instead you have to convert the text to vectors to get it to show correctly after it's uploaded. In Inkscape you select the text and hit Ctrl + Shift + C...Scott5114 08:41, 6 June 2006 (UTC) [edit] Image:OK-33.JPG listed for deletionAn image or media file that you uploaded, Image:OK-33.JPG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. ...Scott5114 21:58, 8 June 2006 (UTC) [edit] Final state highway naming conventions debateKJBurns, your participation is welcome in the Wikipedia:State route naming conventions poll. Please give your input as to the process by 23:59 UTC on August 8. Regards, Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 22:59, 5 August 2006 (UTC) [edit] Oklahoma infobox discussionGlad to see you back. You might be interested in this discussion about changing the Oklahoma infobox to use Infobox Road, which might change the way we handle split routes, as Infobox Road currently cannot handle two routes like {{Infobox Oklahoma Highway 2}}. —Scott5114↗ 08:35, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
