[edit] Contributing to Wiki Acoustics

I want to write articles in the field of acoustics and ultrasound. I saw there is a need for experts to edit the Acoustic radiation force page. I am an expert in the specific topic, I designed and built ARF systems for about 5 years and I have the appropriate theoretical and applicative background. See my Schlieren imaging article. I am a physicist, M.Sc. from the Technion, Israel Institute for Technology. However, I am new to Wiki and I need some guidance. Wikipedia is a volunteer effort for the most part, so there is no pay. As far as editing articles goes, just find articles that interest you and improve them as best you can (but be mindful of conflicts of interest). If you create new articles, please place {{physics}} on the talk page, or {{physics|acoustics=yes}} if they are acoustics related, and someone will review the article (takes a few days usually).

If you are looking for stuff to do, consider going through the Acoustic taskforce's cleanup listing, which is a list of acoustics-related articles that need work. You can also go through "lower-quality" articles (Category:Acoustics articles by quality) and see if you can improve them.

Good places to go for help are Wikiproject Physics (which has a "quick help" table that might be of use to you) and its Acoustic taskforce.

The task was approved. I implemented it on Wikipedia:WikiProject Physics/Recognized content and ran the bot. I matched what was already there. Hi, if you leave out the title field, it will default to the article title, so it is not necessary to list if the article title is identical to the journal title.
