I meant deleting the WP Europe banner ({{WikiProject Europe|...|Croatia=yes}}) and adding the new WP Croatia banner ({{WikiProject Croatia}}), as most of these articles don't fall within the scope of WP Europe, but landed in its category as the WP Croatia banner was instated. I disagree on the name of Anti-Communist as in the original italian it is "Anti Comunista" the hyphen is a later error of some author. the political name, used by the fascist party administration, was "Anti Communist Volunteer Militia" but the military usual denomination was Bande V.A.C. as "Bande" is the term used by italian military for irregular auxiliary forces, see the colonial italian Army use for this I would suggest a name for the Wiki article as "Anti Communist Volunteer Militia - Bande V.A.C." merging the two names

Hi, sorry if I write to you, but I don't want to flood the project page with my lamentations. So you're the lucky one who will be annoyed :D. Of course, if even you will tink I'm an 'intruse', you can just ignore this post, I'll survive. :)

I'm en enthusiastic contributor of the Wikipedia project, and in general I support any wiki project in any language I understand, from ages. I'm active mainly in it.wiki, where I registered the Yuma account, as it is the language I can master in the best way, and that's the reason because it happens that I'm a sysop on that wiki. But I consider myself a contributor of the whole project, and since I have a global account I do what I can with that same account anywhere I'm able to do something, spending the time I have in making some effort to contribute in collecting and developing free content. I never said I'm Italian, or Swiss, or whatever. My nationality is irrelevant: I'm a wikipedian, here. I completely agree with the philosophy of this project, beginning from the five pillars. Usually, I don't edit so much on geography articles. My interests are more 'humanistics', though I'm a wikignome on everything.

It happens, a few weeks ago, that I found an incredible rise of anger from some it.wiki editors, about a supposed anti-italian approach on the english side. Since I felt it like an absurd issue, and since I feel myself not just an it.wiki user, I tried to understand. I thougt that issue was untrue, and unjust, and basically the result of a case of trolling. The next time I logged in here, I took a look on some articles, and I found some little problems on bilingual articles. The best way to fight trolling is to eliminate the 'material' on which trolls keep feeding. That's why I pointed it, at first, to the editor. His response was harsh and non so satisfating, so I asked to the wikiproject.

Now, I'm not used to flame, but I realize that, in posting there, I probably was offending some sensitivity. But I did'nt expected to be treated as an intruse. I'm higly disappointed. We are writing an encyclopedia, we must find the most correct way to add info. But if some issues has the clear purpose of hiding as much as we can some info (today the 'italian' toponyms, tomorrow something else), I can't see the difference with the people coming here for 'exalting' such data. I probably mistaken in the way I noted it, but I'm used to be honest, and to tell what I think. Did I was offensive?

By the way, I think I rised a problem, and I contributed enough in analysing it. Sorry if I was 'intrusive'. I will try to abstain from the project page, since someone thiks I have no right to 'make lectures' (and since I'm able to keep myself cool, but sometime it's tiring). I'm confident that there is a lot of excellent users, and you will find the best way to handle it.

I feel like a murderer at the victim's funeral... nevertheless, I feel I must comment on Yuma's post since it appears to concern me. A Wikipedian's mettle can be seen in the way he handles criticism (constructive or no). I myself don't do so well there and am admittedly aggressive in discussion at times, however, I don't think this was one of those instances. In my opinion, Alasadair was somewhat unnecessarily harsh towards Yuma who seems to sincerely desire to help with this issue. No major incidents occurred, though, and all this boils down to a few "not-so-perfectly-friendly" posts. Hardly a cause for all-out "disappointment with everything".

As for this subject, and I cannot stress this enough, it is highly controversial. If you think this is bad Yuma, have a look at Talk:Kosovo, the hate is seeping out of every written word. That was Dalmatia/Istria ten months back, and you've just jumped into it: you have to be prepared for some harshness of tone, a few months there and you lose your temper and reputation but gain a cardiac disorder :P. Yes, they were probably two different articles before. If you look at article History of Croatia, you will see two different sections: Medieval Croatian state (until 925) and Kingdom of Croatia (925-1102). Did you see the discussion at Hey, Slavs in relation to the SC issue? I have found out that at books.google the 10% of books use the term Croato-Serbian. Why should this encyclopaedia differ?

What more DIREKTOR and I. Š. would want. I hope that you realize, that by various Wiki policies the RfC can "decide" (in fact give an unbounding agreement) only on the article under which the RfC were requested. The RfC on SC/CS in the SC article is not bounding for all the other articles on wikipedia. Mr. DIREKTOR deliberately disclosed only his "search" on google, but not on books.google.

Here is a very important diff from the past where Mr. DIREKTOR wrote about the bos, hrv, and also srp as being non-existant — because there is only Serbo-Croatian (by his POV). Also he describes in the same diff (slightly below his POV on languages) the POV on nations, he describes as the TRUTH (he writtes a lot of capital letters) his own POV that Bosniaks, Croats, (I presume he included the Montenegrins also) and Serbs are one nation.

It might be Ok to use the "name" of the article Serbo-Croatian in most cases but in all cases. Why? SR Croatia was not Estonian SSR (and other Baltic states) where Russian was forced as official.

Please reconsider the implications on the sources and reliability.

WP:GNG and WP:NOTNEWS conflicts. The hot news of total will have significant coverage. Some murder articles have been deleted because of NOTNEWS and BLP1E (even if the person died and is not living). I don't understand why articles are treated differently. People say WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS but that is just an excuse for unequal treatment. I have nothing against the LA Fitness murder. Hi Gregor. As you noteced ( since you´ve made the Talk pages) I´m making many footballer pages, maynly the ones that have played in Serbia and ex-Yugoslavia. I did a new one: Marijan Zovko. But I have some doubts... This time I did the Talk page. I did it as you did one other before, Davor Čop, is it OK? Whenever I do some Croatian player I´ll do it this way, should I? Another thing is about the player itself. I´m not sure if you´re the one I should ask you this stuff, couse I´m not sure you like or not football, but I´m missing all the manager years and teams of Marijan Zovko couse I can´t find more either by net or by the literature I have. I know he has been coaching many teams in Croatia. Do you know more that I missed? And, maynly, he´s named Marijan, but I also find some places where is written Marjan (without i ). Thanx Gregor for answering me. The thing was that in the begining I didn´t used to do the talk pages cause I touth some WikiProject "leaders" are the ones that give them the low/or other "ocene". Hi, you left a message on my talk page about my article move concerning Stadion Maksimir. I did it because it seemed inconsistent to have the majority of articles about Croatian stadiums named the way they are originally called in Croatian (like Gradski stadion u Poljudu or Stadion Šubićevac) with only some of them retaining English translations in article names (like Maksimir Stadium or Kantrida Stadium). If you look at lists such as the list of Spanish stadiums, list of French stadiums or list of Italian stadiums, you will see that 99 percent of articles are named according to their original name in the native language. Granted, there are a few exceptions to this, such as Santiago Bernabéu Stadium or Vicente Calderón Stadium, but it seems that the general tendency is to keep the original name, even though you could find English-language sources for venues such as Stade de France or Stade Vélodrome if you wanted to. Having that said, I don't think that WP:UE applies here as the rules you cited concern foreign names and transliteration, which is not the issue here. The issue here lies with whether to use English-language formatting or keep the original one (whether Croatian venues should be called Stadion XXX or XXX Stadium). In my opinion it should be the former as I think we should try to stick with the official name of the venue as precisely as possible (which is also the reason I moved Stadion Kranjčevićeva to Stadion u Kranjčevićevoj ulici as it is it's full official name), but if you still disagree we could look for help at WP Football to resolve this. Would your atlas have per capita info on cities in the former Yugoslavia? (I'm interested in the capitals so mainly Belgrade, Zagreb, Sarajevo, Skopje, Ljubljana, Podgorica and maybe some other big cities such as Novi Sad, Split, Banja Luka)?
