[edit] John Eddie Mullan

Hi John Eddie Mullan was my great uncle and I knew him very well personally. After his death all the newspapers quoted from a Co. Derry GAA publication which had incorrectly stated he was born in 1924. He was born on 27th April 1923.

Thank you —Preceding unsigned comment added by Falcarraghboyle (talkcontribs) 21:23, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Template:Infobox GAA dualplayer

Hi, I knew what the issue is,to display correctly icprovincef= <somevalue> is needed but due to technical limitations their are no way to fix it properly. I've fixed Francis McEldowney so it shows correctly

[edit] County Londonderry

Hi. You know the agreements on Wikipedia. Please refrain from entering the geographical location of places of birth as County Derry instead of County Londonderry. The agreement may not be nice and to everyone's tastes, we don't all agree with it, but it does stop Wikipedia descending into (even more) anarchy. Thanks. Thanks for those photos you put on the Waterford and De La Salle articles. Gives them a bit more bite. ManfromDelmonte (talk) 15:30, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit] GA review of Paddy Bradley

Hi, Derry Boi, I'm reviewing this. I've left my initial comments at Talk:Paddy Bradley/GA1. --Philcha (talk) 19:12, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Hi, Derry Boi, I seeing you're still working at it. Please let me know when you've done all you plan to. --09:38, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
Hi, Derry Boi, it's time this review was wrapped up. Do you still have work to do on the article? --Philcha (talk) 06:38, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
I've just gone through and flagged X mark.svgN Not done all the outstanding items. --Philcha (talk) 14:30, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

I'm moving house on Friday 26 June, and may be off WP from 23 June to 3 July. We can try to finish the review before 23 June, continue after 3 July, or you can ask for someone else to take over the review - I shan't be offended. --Philcha (talk) 19:02, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Hi, I'm back. Do you intend to clear up the outstanding items (flagged X mark.svgN Not done)? --Philcha (talk) 19:22, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Hi, Derry Boi. You haven't edited WP at all since 31 May 2009. It's time to wrap up the article. I'll have to fail it if there's no action in the next week. Unfortunately you have not provided an email address, so I can't contact you that way in case the dreaded real life is getting in the way. --Philcha (talk) 13:25, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

Hi, it's nice to see that you're back. Are you going to be able to fix the outstanding items in the next few days? --Philcha (talk) 21:09, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

I've updated the review page. --Philcha (talk) 05:37, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

As far as I can see there are 2 outstanding issues in the main text: competition formats, where you were going to ask the GAA to post a summary on their web site; and expression / prose in one para. How soon can you fix these? If you can fix them in a week or so, I'll do the remaining checks (links, pics, lead). Otherwise ... --16:17, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Wikimedians in Ireland email list

Hello Derry Boi:

I'm pleased to announce that we've started a new Ireland Wikimedian email list, that you can join, at mail:WikimediaIE. For Wikimedians in Ireland and Wikimedians interested in events in Ireland and efforts in Ireland. Note, there are no rules on this email list about what constitutes Ireland, so you can discuss Northern Ireland to your heart's content (or on the UK list if you like!) It's there to to discuss meetups, partnerships with Museums and National Archives, and anything else where Wikipedia and real life intersect :) --Bastique demandez 17:07, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] File permission problem with File:Paddy Bradley.jpg

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Paddy Bradley.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Polly (Parrot) 21:04, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Review

Hi.I've recently created an article regarding the Free State Army Intelligence Department that operated from Oriel House and summerly executed Republicans in Dublin during the Civil War. Please can you take some time to review this article. Also, if you have any tip on how to make this page better then I'd be interested in what you have to say. Herers the link.
