Archives: June 3, 2008 - February 19, 2009 Please consider leaving a joke. Jokes may be deleted and/or censored at this user's own discretion. [edit] Copyright & fair-use rationale of SVGified logoYou are invited to participate in an interesting discussion at Wikipedia talk:Image use policy#File:Man Utd FC .svg. Your comments & suggestions are very much appreciated Arteyu ? Blame it on me ! 11:30, 8 July 2009 (UTC) [edit] MP 25 DisambiguationYou created the disambiguation page MP 25. Some of the articles it points to, Rupelian and Chattian, do not list MP 25 as an alternate name. Could you provide a source that references this name? Jujutacular (talk) 20:47, 15 July 2009 (UTC) [edit] MP5 DisambiguationThe MP5 redirect has been around for seven years and averages 1000 hits per day. I would hazzard a guess that at least 97% of the people who search or link MP5 are looking for the submachinegun by that name. I very much doubt that a large number of users would be looking for Danian by searching for a letter abbreviation for Mammal Paleogene Zone 5. I would suggest creating a redirect at MPZ5 if you really feel it is necessary, but please do not interrupt the MP5 redirect. EDIT: I got zero hits when searching "Mammal Paleogene 5" and "Mammal Paleogene Zone 5" at Google. Some guy (talk) 20:49, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Another QuestionHello. I have another question to ask you. This one should be even easier to answer than the last one. Which key do I use to to put in a straight line? BillClinton1000 (talk) 19:34, 31 July 2009 (UTC) I just noticed that you like jokes. Why did the chicken cross the road? He was running from Colonel Sanders. [edit] Sterling SilverYes, a user Cinamon (sp.?) has been spamming book adverts all over the place in the past. They're relevant enough in some places, but many posts were distinctly spammy and needed pruning at least. Andy Dingley (talk) 19:56, 20 August 2009 (UTC) [edit] Barn OwlI am sorry about the confusion, but I must have accidentally changed your revisions. Please accept my apology. [edit] HiThis is Wikipedian from Evony. Check out my pictures in my gallery! --Tyw7 (Talk • Contributions) 02:03, 5 September 2009 (UTC) [edit] Naming Conventions. RFC: Removal of exceptions to "use common names" passage. This is to inform you that removing exceptions to the use of "most Common Names" as the titles of Wikipedia articles from the the Talk:Naming_Conventions policy page, is the subject of a referral for Comment (RfC). This follows recent changes by some editors. You are being informed as an editor previously involved in discussion of these issues relevant to that policy page. You are invited to comment at this location. Xandar 21:38, 13 September 2009 (UTC) [edit] NoticeHi. [edit] Orphaned non-free media (File:Microsoft_Office_97_Professional_Box_Art.jpg)
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Rockfang (talk) 08:41, 19 September 2009 (UTC) [edit] RFAHi there, I've responded on my talk page. -kotra (talk) 19:46, 20 September 2009 (UTC) [edit] NPAputting up with people being rude and abusive means putting up with their personal attacks on other Wikipedians--that's almost always what they are being abusive about . what Wikipedia needs is enforcement of rules about civility, and it appears to me from your response you think it better not to do that. i'm quite puzzled by it, as it does not seem that similar to your other responses. If you as a counselor are going by the principle of letting people vent, someone who does that here repeatedly needs to be stopped. The amount of ill will it engenders in other Wikipedians can lead to major conflicts. DGG ( talk ) 23:07, 22 September 2009 (UTC) [edit] No problemHappy to help. I had much the same experience at my RFA - here I was, someone who hadn't made any enemies or been involved in any real drama, and there were people opposing for reasons I hadn't expected at all. It's stressful - but don't worry too much about it. You're doing fine, and 63-some odd editors agree. Best, UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 12:40, 24 September 2009 (UTC) [edit] Your Request for AdminshipDear Bob the Wikipedian, I have closed your recent RfA as successful per the consensus of the community. Congratulations, you are now a sysop! Please make sure you're aware of the Administrators' how-to guide and are aware of the items on the Administrators' reading list. Finally, please don't hesitate in contacting me if you need anything. Best of luck in your new position! —Anonymous DissidentTalk 03:52, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
[edit] LeperconI wasn't the original blocking admin--that was PMDrive1061 (talk · contribs). As I understand it, he was blocked for being a spam/advertising-only account and for using a sock to recreate a previously deleted article. The only reason it was tagged as "suspected" is because (based on the talk page discussion) the technical information for the guy who recreated the article had expired. However, as I understand it it was close enough to a WP:DUCK situation to keep him blocked. Feel free to contact PMDrive1061, FisherQueen and Hersfold for more details. Blueboy96 21:33, 10 November 2009 (UTC) [edit] Articles for deletion nomination of Dim EffectI have nominated Dim Effect, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dim Effect. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. | |||||||||||||||||
