[edit] WPS foreign/non-American players article

Hi Alex! Just noticed the change you made a while back, as I was editing the page for a recent trade. I understand the argument you made in your comment, but since WPS is a U.S. league I think it's unnecessary to switch "foreign" to "non-American"; using "foreign" isn't U.S.-centric because the fact it's a U.S. league is implied. Besides, I think it's perfectly fine for Americans to be listed as "foreign" players in articles about other leagues. And there's precedent. Can I switch it back? CyMoahk (talk) 17:34, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

I moved the article because the old title made me groan, "Not another American who has forgotten that the rest of the world exists!", and thereby undermined wikipedia's credibility as a global, neutral source. That concern still stands; I'm certain that quite a significant number of people respond to the same sort of thing in the same way as I do, and I know there's a great deal of discussion of it somewhere on the policy pages. Furthermore, America is not even mentioned in the title of the article. Not all precedents are good precedents, and the ones you give certainly aren't, they are more examples of the same unfortunate insular approach (which the British can also fall into, though not as often as Americans).
