Hello there.

My Name is Tim. I decided to join Wikipedia so I could write an Article and decided I liked it here so I stayed. So far I have started to learn python so that I could build my first Bot. I hope to have it be able to tag dead links with the appropriate template: {{Dead link}}. I am still new, so I might need to be told a few things. However I have done a lot of learning, so if you are a new user I should be able to help you too.

Some Skeletons in My Closet

During the first few months of editing, I had an unregistered bot that ran under this username. Now, before you go and fetch the Wikipedia Police, let me explain. All of the edits were done in good faith. All of the edits were minor/or general fixes. I stopped using AWB when I found the policy against unregistered bots. Please leave any concerns or comments on my talk page. (and please don't burn me). Thanks

Things I Can Do For You

Generate lists

Upon request, I will make lists. They can be intersections of lists (i.e. Pages that transclude a template but aren't in a category).

Mass Rollback

Upon request, I will rollback large amounts of edits all at once, to save time for editors. (Note: If you request this, then it is important that you show me that you have consensus to do so, if it is not entirely obvious.)

Provide input

Yea, Ill do that too.

Things I Regularly Do

Anti-Vandalism

I sit on Lupin's anti-vandal tool and wait 4 minutes; until the huggle people have reviewed the edits. This way, I catch some of the less obvious vandalism, that the first pass missed.

Bots

I cant help it, I have an unhealthy obsession with bots. I regularly provide input in the bot request pages.

Deletion

I try to find articles that are suitable for deletion and delete them (through PROD and AfD) . I must admit, I think wikipedia has become bloated, and we need to be serious at purging the not-so-important articles. I will try to delete articles with respect and follow the guidelines for deletion.

Proposals

I frequent the proposal page to give my two cents.

Checklinks

I find and fix dead external links with Dispenser's Check-links. I am currently working on the featured articles with the most dead links.
