I'm Martin, a PhD candidate studying palaeontology and evolution. I am confident editing templates and am happy to assist where I can. I am happy to share journal articles where possible. I use Mozilla Firefox.

• Wikipedia, on the whole, is a work in progress, so I do my best to avoid worrying about petty details and restrict my editing to things that improve content and accessibility, and reliability.

I often edit in a hurry, and/or without considering the consequences of my actions, (there is so much editing to be done!) so if I've done something you disagree with – do pop a note on the article's (or my) talk page.

Or copy and paste a reference in any format, and have it translated to the "Cite journal" template

To export references within Wikipedia to Endnote, copy this code:

Save the page and press Ctrl-F5 to clear your browser's cache.

Create references from DOIs

Example:

1. Place {{cite journal | doi = 10.1086/367774}} into Wikipedia:Sandbox and save the page
2. Visit DOI bot and enter "Wikipedia:Sandbox" in the article box
3. Click go, watch the bot work, and check the results!

Make an existing reference section use the {{cite journal}} template

To add links to each page's "toolbox", informing you how much traffic a page receives and providing a one-click access to DOI bot, copy this code:

Show the names of references instead of their numbers

To make references appear in the style ^{[Example 2000]} rather than ^[1], put this code in your monobook.js (see instructions for "links" above)
