Gunnlaugur (Gulli) Lárusson (1976) was born and raised in the rural town of Dalvík in the northern part of Iceland. He moved to Akureyri in 1992, and from there to Reykjavík in 1995. Gulli briefly revisited Akureyri a year later, but having already tasted the rich culture of the nation’s capital, he decided to move back to Reykjavík to pursue a career in music.

Gulli co-founded the Stoner / Desert rock outfit "Brain Police" in October 1998, assuming the role of lead guitarist and later taking over all guitar duties. Gulli left the band in January 2005 after releasing three LPs and one EP.

He Joined Lights on the Highway(LOTH) in March 2005 as their second guitarist. LOTH released their self-titled debut album on the 18th of July 2005.

He left Lights on the Highway on amicable terms in 2006 and rejoined Brain Police in 2007.

He has also been making electronic music ever since he was 14 years old and got his first personal computer, a 16mhz Hyundai as a confirmation present. His alias when producing electro is Commander.

Other musical projects are Public Relations with Þorgeir Frímann Óðinsson aka Frank Murder and Darkhammer with Frank Murder and Krilli.
