I'm HJ Mitchell.

As you may have deduced, I'm an Englishman- I currently live in Lincoln- thus, I use what Wikipedia insists on calling "British English", however, I'm capable of editing in "American English".

I contribute here and, occasionally, to other Wikimedia projects, particularly Wikinews, when my appallingly slow internet connection allows! I have rollback rights here on the English Wikipedia. I review articles for Good article status, patrol special:NewPages and Special:RecentChanges and contribute where I can to articles I come across or I'm asked to help on. To date, I've contributed significantly to 2 GAs, written 1 DYK and successfully nominated and/or updated 3 articles for ITN. I can regularly be seen at WP:ITN/C and keeping the Current Events portal ticking over. I also do some copyediting on here so you have a potential GA or FA requiring a copyedit, I'm usually willing to take a look. Other than that, I might contribute to an ANI thread if I have something to add and I can sometimes be seen at RfA and AfD.

I don't write a lot of new articles, rather I fill in gaps as I come across them. To date, I've created 16 pages in the mainspace (over 70 if you include redirects) and created another from a redirect. This page isn't likely to change much since I don't have the time to keep it up to date and I'd rather be building the encyclopaedia anyway.

I apologise if you came here looking for a good read but, even if I was that interesting, I don't have time to maintain a fancy user page! Have fun reading all my userboxes, though and drop me a line if you want to chat! HJMitchell You rang?
