Hello. I am Chaser. I've been a law student since August, 2008. Prior to law school I worked for two years as an English teacher in Southern Italy. Before that I got a B.S. in political science. I concentrate on articles about law, politics, or government, but lately I've been doing a lot of maintenance and administrative work.

Me and Wikipedia

• I'm most active on a WikiProject regarding U.S. Supreme Court cases, but I also help choose new administrators, make deletion decisions, remove vandalism, and a variety of other things. These are all processes based on community consensus.

Admin info

I am an administrator: Chaser (talk · contribs · blocks · protections · deletions · moves · rights). This means I have an extra set of buttons letting me delete things which violate policy, block users who habitually violate policy, protect articles and quickly revert vandalism. Generally, administrators are knowledgeable about Wikipedia policies, but they have no extra editorial capacity whatsoever. If you disagree with one of my edits, revert it!

If you disagree with one of my admin actions, please drop a note on my talk page and I will be happy to discuss it with you.

Recall

See User:Chaser/Recall for details. I don't think the traditional recall process has worked well in practice, but I commit myself to engaging in dialog with people and seriously considering recommendations to resign.

Deleted material

If you need access to a Wikipedia article that has been deleted, ask me. If it's not a copyright violation, libel, or personal information, and has not been deleted as a suspected biographies of living persons violation, I will userfy the article for you.

Note that using the text to recreate any deleted article may automatically qualify them for speedy deletion, and copies of previously deleted content that are being used solely for long-term archival purposes may be subject to deletion as Wikipedia is not a free web host. The MediaWiki website has a list of wiki sites which may be used to host your content.
