Bluegoblin7 is currently: Offline Hey there, I'm Bluegoblin7 (talk · contribs · blocks · protections · deletions · moves · rights), an admin here at the Simple English Wikipedia, and i'm also Bluegoblin7 at all other Wikimedia Foundation projects. I've been involved with Wikimedia since February 2007, originally at the English Wikipedia, and now at many wikis: my account is currently unified on 60 project sites. Although I started off at the English Wikipedia, I am now most active here, at the Simple English Wikipedia, and so would call it my home wiki. Since getting involved with Wikipedia, I have also become involved with several other wikis, including Train Spotting World, ScoutWiki and the free wiki hosting service YourWiki. Elsewhere on the InterWebz i'm the Editor of the successful Tramways Monthly E-Magazine and I also contribute to British Trams Online. I'm also involved in several other smaller scale projects. You can get in touch with me through a number of different methods. My talk page is available to take messages, but please feel free to use e-mail for sensitive issues. Alternatively, you can find me on IRC freenode under the nickname Bluegoblin7, Failz or Bleep, or any variation on those names!. I hang out most in #wikipedia-simple and ##bluegoblin7, so you can find me there or drop me a /msg. I try and get involved in any area where I'm needed and also to try and help people out, especially those who remain civil towards me :) Here at Simple, my work so far has mainly involved looking after Simple News and the Did you know section. I've also been active in vandal reversion and in tagging pages for quick deletion and user warnings. I run four bots, GBot1, that updates {{totw}}, GBot2, a general AWB bot, GBot3, a delivery bot primarily for Wikipedia:Simple News and GBot4, an anti-vandalism bot. GBot5 is currently on hold whilst I find it something to do! I had my first RfA in January 2009 which unfortunately failed as users felt that my personal life was not stable enough to have the tools. I had my second RfA in early April 2009 which did pass and I am now proud to be an administrator on this project. My projects for the next few months are to continue the creation of Transport related articles and also to start up a WikiProject at some stage. I completed my main aim on the 3rd April 2009 which was to get Crich Tramway Village to Very Good Article status. I'm really proud of this article and i'm also really grateful to those who helped get it to where it is. Now I would also like to get Blackpool tramway, British Rail Class 20, British Rail Class 37, British Rail Class 47, Victoria line and London Underground 1967 Stock to either GA or VGA, and they are my projects for the next few months, as well as completing articles on the Lea Valley Lines and other London Transport articles. In May 2009 I staged a 19 day protest following the retirement of Kennedy. It seemed to work, as he returned on the 20th May! If you need help with anything, just ping me. I've got knowledge of MediaWiki both front end and back end, and i'm always happy to help! |
