[edit] Student Groups

There has been a trend of forming different groups both politically and non-politically among the university students. The ECCENTRIC LADZ is supposed to be the best among these groups. it is famous for its members' modern and updated attitude towards everything. it is an F & B (Finance & Banking) based group which was formed during the initial period of the year 2008. it is the only international lot with few of its members operating it right from the uk and from other areas of the world. There is a non-stop shuttle train service for the students from Chittagong city to the campus during the workdays. It takes the train almost an hour to move all the way from the city towards the university. Students seem to enjoy themselves singing, playing cards, gossiping, during their train journey. Compartment based political groups are also quite common here. Apitaf, Cockpit, Octopus, CU Virus, Cyclone, Fire, CFC, Akakar, Concord, Dost, Adda are some of these groups. Every single lot has their own compartment and they move with the compartment their group-name is sealed on. It is quite common that every compartment of the train has got some colourful artworks on it with the group names mentioned earlier being printed. It's a bit of a surprise that student politics is a common phenomenon in the university even though most of the studnets want their campus politics-free all the way through.

The GAPE (Group of Applied Physics & Electronics )is a non political student's group. The member of this group must be a student of Department of Applied Physics,Electronics and Communication Engg.(done by rantu jr)
