University of Bikaner (UOB) is a university located in Bikaner in the state of Rajasthan, India. This is presently named as Maharaja Ganga Singh University. The university was established in 2003 and marks an important milestone in the evolution of tertiary education in Rajasthan. The University of Bikaner strives through teaching and research to achieve a better understanding of the unique issues affecting the local region.

The University has faculties of Commerce and Management, Science, Arts, Social Sciences, Law and Education. This University runs a number of professional courses including B.Ed., M.Ed., B.P.Ed., BCA, MCM, PGDCA, BBA, MBA, PGDSM, BFA, LL.B, LL.M, Diploma in Labour Law, Diploma in Criminology, Microbiology, Biotechnology and Biochemistry besides regular academic courses. This university affiliates about 250 colleges from Bikaner, Churu, Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh districts.

The university has recognized a number of Research Supervisors in various disciplines and has registered a number of research students. It has a Research Committee with the Vice Chancellor as the Chairman. Students are only registered after a successful presentation before the Research Committee, thereby promoting quality research.
