Uni-DSL (UDSL) is a DSL-technology developed by Texas Instruments which would provide at least 200 Mbit/s^[1] in aggregate on the downstream and upstream paths. UDSL is backwards compatible with all DMT standards (ADSL, ADSL2, ADSL2+, VDSL and VDSL2).

Uni-DSL means One DSL for universal service. Simply put, service providers need an affordable option to support all of their network requirements and services. With Uni-DSL platforms, providers will be able to provide all DMT-based services from one line card or home gateway, making deployment easier and more affordable.
