[edit] Legal Problems

May 2009, the owners of Trill Entertainment were arrested in Baton Rouge for allegedly intimidating witnesses to the shooting of rival rapper Bruce "Beelow" Moore in July 2005[1].

Emonei "lil-E" BRINSON and Marcus "Turk" Roach were held without bond on attempted murder and other charges. Both owners of the record label were charged in September 2005 with attempted second-degree murder, armed robbery and illegal use of weapons, yet the charges were dismissed a year later due to the alleged intimidation of witnesses[1]. In May 2009, new charges were filed against Vernell and Roach including attempted second-degree murder, illegal use of weapons, aggravated battery and armed robbery, two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and three counts of possession of an illegal firearm by a convicted felon[1]. The Trill Entertainment owners were also accused by witnesses of laundering drug money through their label[1].
